S444M
So yesterday, the tire blew out at 75mph on the M4, which was fun: So out with the space saver, reppin' the steelies lol: on later inspection at the tire place, i saw this: In truth, i knew i had a slow puncture, so this serves me right for not getting it looked at sooner. went for run flats on the front now, so won't be having this issue again in a hurry (fingers crossed!) B0B
Mate that's unlucky but I guess you should have kept an eye on the tyre pressures or got it repaired. Don't want to sound negative but the E46 never came with and wasn't designed for run flats. They ruin the handling.

Richie1985
Just thinking cause my tyres rubbed like a bitch when I fitted coilovers but were fine when I put on 5mm spacers!! Maybe that could of caused your blow out them again maybe not!!! Just a thought ?
S444M
Cheers for think of me bud I don't think that's the cause though, as I had a slow puncture on the tire anyway that I knew about, so it's likely that had got progressively worse, and quickly. Or the tire was much flatter that I thought and I just chewed it up doing 70mph. I've not had rubbing since I first lowered it, and still don't now As far as I'm aware the 17s tuck under nicely, it's when you go up to 18s or space the 17s out for a bit of stance that you start getting rubbing. S444M
Little update: Took this in my work car park. Friend's 328i the day after a new coilover set being fitted, so riding so high on the back: I got hold of one of these, excited to fit it all up!! : Before i install the unit, there's a few things i'd like to pickup so i can spend a day and install the lot in one go: 10" or 12" sub and amp - i want to mount the sub in a specific place in the boot, i'm going to have to build a custom frame to do it. I have been thinking about getting a pre-built unit that sits in the spare wheel well, but i'm worried about the floor vibrating and becoming annoying, so it's not first choice right now. Plus I wanted something a little more original. rear camera - because i'm lazy and turning my head around is just too much effort these days... micro SD card - to load sat nav onto Progress to follow Edited July 19, 2014 by S444M

S444M
A little update: as I've got the head unit i want now, I've started to get going on building the sub box. Please don't laugh too much at my engineering drawing skills (ahem). Firstly i've sketched an idea of what i want - which is basically a box sat directly behind the offside rear cluster: cut out a rough template to measure up with: this is what i'm going to attach too - the battery cover and side boot lining section - i want to keep the function where it clicks into the side trim by the window, and is still removable to get to the lights and the battery: This gives you an idea of what 10" and 12" subs will look like: roughly what it'll look like when in place: i've bought some MDF and ordered some faux leather to cover the box once it's made, so i'll probably start at the weekend. I also need to find a sub to put in, trying to source a Vibe CRB 10 Active if anyone knows of one going, or open to decent alternatives. S444M
Got the Eonon fitted on Saturday. it gives the factory speakers a much better sound, definitely noticeable. Wiring it in was tiring, so many wires, TV antennas, GPS unit etc, the glove box came out in the end to make it easier. Worth it though.

S444M
Look really nice how hard was it to fit?? Just thinking I should do mine as I don't have any tapes lol So it wasn't really hard, just fiddly. I wanted to fit the sub box i made in at the same time, so I had the installation of all of those wires too. It's a case of: "oh i'll just undo this... oh and i suppose it'd be easier if i undid this too... oh and this... and this..." you get the idea lol. i'd say including my sub etc, it's about a 10hr job to get it done right. I've still not installed the TV tuner (which comes with 2 antenna's, wires which have to be hidden), or setup the GPS (need to load maps onto a micro SD card). Definitely worth it though, even if it is a long ass job. PS - i've got a spare tape adapter now which you're welcome too lol, plugs into any iPhone or other device's headphone jack. S444M
So my wave of happiness has been cruelly shut down by my umbrella in the boot piercing through my sub. I've had it working for (no lie) about 14hrs, if I don't laugh about it I might actually cry lol Sent using Tapatalk

S444M
That's crap mate. Does it affect the sound much? Not really which is a brucie bonus, the bass isn't turned up fully either, (I'm not really into shaking windows) so I think that helps the situation. I was expecting some distortion or something! Sent using Tapatalk **EDIT** - it does distort at higher volumes Edited April 22, 2014 by S444M
