blynham
Thinking about updating the speakers as the standard ones are pretty poor. I don't want to spend loads of money, or replace my head unit as I like the standard look, just want something a bit better with some more bass. Are these a direct fit in the front doors as ive read that they are shallower than some speakers? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-Series-E46-Front-Door-Speaker-Pioneer-car-speakers-adapter-pods-210W-/160877119454?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item25750607de
Maxtek
I've heard a lot of good things about the Rainbow package for the E46, they're a direct fit made specifically for the E46. A bit more expensive than the kit you linked but they have the reviews to back them up.

cj170579
anyone know any direct replacements for the rear in the vert? they seem very shallow!
blynham
They come with adapters so im guessing they should be okay? Dont really wanna mess about with the door card too much to get them to fit Edited April 22, 2015 by blynham
cj170579
I changed the fronts to MB Quarts and had minimal fuss swooping them over. they didn't fit the rear thought as they were too deep. haven't heard of anything decent that will fit the vert rears!
