Cheers Mit, but the OEM install looks about 2-3 times as expensive as this one and it's also fitted to the BM54 radio unit, I'm still really unsure if any of these things will work with my s**tty BM52 box.

And there's a lot of custom work on this, I'm sure I could do it, but I cant be bothered to be totally honest :(

Just fitted mine. Had some issues with getting the numbers from the phone to the Parrot as the instructions they give are s**t!

Finally got it all in and the voice activation from the steering wheel works spot on :)

I havent got the extended sunroof console, so I put the mic up just by the RVM. Sounds good apparently :)

Thanks for your help Marco. I had some concerns that my car has the HK kit and I had been told by a mate that works in the trade that this wouldnt work. But it works just as I hoped, if not better. I had fears of it coming out of all corners, but it comes out of just the fronts. :)

If I take a picture of the connections on my BM52 radio box tonight and post them, would some one be able to advise me if this kit will work on my car?

I can put up a pic of mine later on Matt. Works great! Much clearer than some Ive seen. And while it doesnt have caller ID, yesterday when a mate rang me it played my 'recorded voice' for that number when the call tone came on...

Have you got nav in yours Matt?

If you have, did you need to wire this into the boot or still into the head unit? I really wanna fit this, but it's gonna cost in excess of £100 so I want to make sure it will 100% work in my car with it's dodgy retrofit before I buy it all.

No Nav mate. Just a Tape player H/U and CD Changer in the boot.

As far as I can make out, if yours has the round pins this will work.

I think Marco has since upgraded to a Nav H/U if I remember right from our PMs.

I'm guessing if I need to find these round pins I'm gonna need to take the radio box back out of the boot and have a snoop and also the head unit.

My stuffs been in and out more times condom testing machine.

The man himself says it can be fitted from the front of the car.

Also by accident I discovered I didn't need to sell my ck3000/ctppar007 kit and buy the very expensive OEM ULF Bluetooth kit because the ctppar007 connector actually connects to the Nav retrofit cable at the front of the car and provides an even better Bluetooth and Voice Command experience off the BM53 and 16:9 CD Monitor than the CD53 did.

It does say BM53 though, which as far as I know, is the BM54 in the UK and I have the 24 :(

I'll pop the head unit out this weekend and check.

Matt - how much did you pay for your parts btw? Delmarco says £65 - cheapest I'm seeing for the pair is more like double that?

I got the Parrot through a mate in the trade for £60 odd and the Connex2 kit was £49 I think via a link on Ebay.

SOme places are selling them together for £135 so its still a saving :)

Yeh, I looked into it, but I couldnt be ar5ed to get a duff one from some scammer, so bought new.

My GF has had a Bury handsfree fitted to her VW Beetle. It is 5H1T! Pro fitted it too. Mine sounds bloody awesome in comparison.

She gets SO much echo its unbelievable. So today, I had a little play (after showing her just how bad it is). I ended up sticking a lump of sticky backed foam over the mic and it works a LOT better now. :)

Hi

just done this mod and after having pairing problems (sorted after reseting unit) everything works fine. Expect the speech button on steering does not seem to work at all. The parrot buttons are clear and not pressed. Has anyone else had this problem or know of any solutions.

I've got a parrot mki9100 and connects 2 par05 from my mini copper s (1st gen) and thought it would work in the 3, but now know I need a par07, but wonder if the mki9100 would work still?

Be good to know rather than having to sell it and by a ck3000

Got an issue with mine now. I think its the Connects 2 kit as the steering wheel buttons wont work. But then sometimes it wont pair properly either! Arrrrrrrgh! Gonna get a Parrot specialist to look at for me in the new year.

i have a connects 2 ipod interface in my coop,will i be able to fit the handsfree kit aswell

may have to splice two looms into one so i dont loose my ipod interface but would that work ??
