john.med
Anyone had the issue of the mic not working? Seems it only works during incoming calls? I'm going to delete both my pairings and see what happens. Really annoying.
john.med
Deleting pairings didn't help. Seems the mic isn't working at all. I'm at work so can't really go pulling it all to bits. Just disconnected the battery to see if that helps. No doubt I'll find, at dinner, it's made no difference. Worked perfectly til I went away for 2 weeks. Very odd. chris2r
Check that nothings pushing the Parrot buttons and all the connections are in properly! If that doesn't work maybe a new mic? Only a few quid of ebay.
john.med
Cheers Chris, sorted it for now. It seems someone has soldered a new jack on the end of the mic wire. It was a bit ropey and short circuiting. If it goes wrong again I'll replace it. About £20 for a genuine dual mic on the Bay.

Matt_S
i have a connects 2 ipod interface in my coop, will i be able to fit the handsfree kit aswell may have to splice two looms into one so i dont loose my ipod interface but would that work ?? cheers buzz Not sure. I know that if for example you bought the Parrot that does Ipod input too, apparently that would only come out of the front channels and uses the Parrot Amplifier. But then again, people said that my system wouldnt work as it was a HK and yet it does! On another note, my steering wheel buttons were only working for receiving calls. When I removed the stereo to upgrade to a CD Head unit and hooked it all up again, NONE, although the buttons worked, ZERO names/numbers were stored in the Parrot! So I spent a few mins reprogramming it with voice command and it all works fine! But I still cant seem to get enough volume out of it...

Hi mate. I have the whole kit for sale as Ive now sold the car. I had the Tape Head unit and Harmon Kardon. It worked great Cant comment on the DICE. I bought a late model CD player with one of RoryWs leads which did the ipod side and allowed me to keep the changer too. I want £80 delivered for the kit. Thats approx £40 saving on what it cost me new
fraggled
Looking to carry this out and order the bits next week, Quick question has anyone got the parrot system to work with the BMW microphone as found in http://www.mwstewart.co.uk/articles/e46btretrofit/ Really would like the oem look but im guessing the parrot microphone is just a standard headphone jack connector rather than the 2 wire BMW mic? john.med
The parrot mic I have with mine is twin receiver and of good quality, but like you say a normal 3.5 mm headphone jack what is the OEM mic like and surely there'll be an adaptor somewhere? ceejay
Anyone managed to succesfully upgrade the firmware on the CK3000? Mines is running 5.11C and I note that 5.28C is available. I'd rather not be missing out on lots of nice fixes and/or functionality.
boutle
Thanks to delmarco for the fantastiche instructions I fitted mine today after having got the whole kit for £62 woop woop! and it was so easy. I`ve got a nokia n95 8gb and it paired instantly plus everything works perfectly, no probs with volume at all. I dangled the parrot controller into the glove box so it sits out of the way in the small compartment to the right of the main compartment. Thought this was a better idea than having it behind the glove box just in case I wanted to change the set up. Also, ran the Mic through past the centre vent and out of a hole where the dash trim next to the steering column upper cowl and wedged it there Works well and is unobtrusive. Might well run it between the upper and lower steering cowls to pop up into the space where the oem mic would sit eventually. I shall report on the sound quality reception with the top down at some point.

Nexus6
Hi, I have a 2000 E46 330i saloon which still has the original Professional radio/ cassettte head unit and also the 6CD changer in the boot. Are the installations for the Business units the same for the Professional please? I want both BT and an iPod/ iPhone connection for handsfree and music, so this looks like what I'm looking for hopefully I'm not particularly technical with electrics, but do have a son-in-law who is and will fit it if I buy the necessary bits - so could somebody also tell me which are the best/ right parts needed for my car and head unit please?
