Gaz
£10 for the new seat backs? Never thought I'd say it, but that's a really good price from a dealer
ROOKiE
£10 for the new seat backs? Never thought I'd say it, but that's a really good price from a dealer Sorry to burst your "good price from a dealer" bubble mate, but the seat backs from a dealer are £200+ (each!). The part I got for £10 was the surrounds for the electric seat switches on bottom of the seats
Gaz
Ohhhhhh That makes a lot more sense/ I thought £10 was cheap! Interiors looking sweet mate
Mike-
I'd change the seat handle to black (unless it's just the light), otherwise mint.
Panzer007
Hello, First of all, great job on the interior. I'd like to 'borrow' this theme to ask about dyeing the door cards as seen on this other forum: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=584524 I have a full black leather interior with brushed silver trim and Titanium Silver car. I've been looking at this for ages and sometimes when you get an itch it just has to be scaratched . Potentially it could go badly wrong or it might go very well, judging by the results I think the latter is easy. Apologies for hijacking this but it's along the same lines, I'll move it if you think it's required. Cheers
ROOKiE
Cheers for the comments all, it is much appreciated. I am glad it hasn't turned out to be a disaster! I'd change the seat handle to black (unless it's just the light), otherwise mint. The handles are black mate, it is just trick of the light in the photograph... No worries about borrowing the thread at all mate, feel free to post away in here! With regards to dyeing I think you need to be 100% before you go ahead, as you say it could go wrong!. What I would be inclined to do is look for a cheap doorcard on ebay with a black leather insert and have a practice (both with removing the doorcard and the dyeing itself) on that before I commited myself to the dyeing itself. What colour where you looking at doing your doorcards mate? Will you be doing just the doorcards?
Panzer007
Cheers Rookie, I have studied that thread for months and I really do think I can pull it off but as you point out "what colour?". I don't know to be honest, that Cinnamon looks ok but it's only available in the US. Our own UK sites have some pretty stylish colours too which are quite close. I am looking for leather door cards to practice on as you suggested because once I go for it theres no turning back.................unless I just re-dye it black again. I'm trying to co-ordinate it with a mirror upgrade so it will come off anyway. Thanks again.......p.s also like the HU thread
snowcatxx87
The seats look like they're floating, that looks KILLER! I LOVE that. Looks OEM. I was going to suggest the black bottom and black seat backs - too much grey looks nasty. My last car was grey interior, gray matts, grey bottom dash, looks nasty. Grey interior just looks cheap. I really don't like all grey interior, but this black/grey looks fantastic.
