Tyre Stretch - Impact On Performance?

Recommended Posts

that was before the pervious owner "rolled" the arches and the tyre width changed the the lowered suspension fitted. it does not stick out now.

How about an after photo to see how the subsequent miraculously transformed this hideous monstrosity into a thing of beauty?

Each to their own but I think that unless you are running a v dub of some description about 9mm off the deck on 13inch alloys then the law is that stretched tyres look s**t.

But that's just me, oem homo número uno.

I remember reading somewhere when one of my mates was running wide wheels and it was an official document

The tyre tread must be inside the arch at the heighest part and the wheel could stick out by up to 3 inches along as no sharp edges where displayed

welcome to club hate noclue - you'll get flammed on here for words like sretch and poke but a few of us still do it!! lol

look forward to pics - i think the car has some good potential from the first pic - smaller tyre, negative camber and a slam and it could be money man

I don't know if its cause its a saloon, or the style or the wheels or your standard-ish car, or too much poke, or what....

But imo that just doesn't look good, at all.

Sorry :(

I don't have a problem with poke & stretch, on some cars it can look cool. But not on yours. It just looks broken.

Until you get that down at very least another 40mm, I'm gona agree.

Needs putting into the tarmac for wheels like that. Could fit your fist inbetween your arch gaps, needs to be so tight you can't get your little finger in there.

Here are the pictures, just to upset the oem homo's :P The arches are not in the best condition but will be sorted come the new year:

My goal is to make it look like this :D :

I hope the link is a joke.

These just look like more 'before' photos to me...
