n1k_ns
Thats exactly what I was looking for, what I am struggling with is getting the wire from the gear gaitor area into the cubby, there is a plastic tray under the sliding cubby that I can't seem to get the wire into :S Did you have to take the centre console completely apart to get it in? Well, the other end of the iPod lead on mine goes into the DVD in the Boot, so my cable enters from the rear To do it, i just took out the rear ashtray and all screws in there (which releases the centre console) and just lifted the whole thing up a few inches. i did not remove it completely. n1k_ns
I have to say though, that long list of faults is a little worrying! Hop you can get it sorted soon, and top work being the test pilot on this

Ah right, do you have the armrest? Because I'm struggling to get the wire into the cubby from the front, theres some kind of metal frame holding up the front of the console that I can't seem to get the wire through. Has anyone come through this way?

Cant you tuck the wire into the plastic lip that runs either side of the centre console, down to the back and through the hole at the back? Thats what i did with my Nokia Kit (it looked awful stuck next to the gear stick, so i stealthed it) The seat is moved back for the pic, normally you cant see it at all, but its dead easy to press still

fingz999
sure you coudl take the plastic off the gear stick and go under the carpet thats there or even just file out a notch for the cable, all this assumes you cant do it as above as that thats the quickest way. LIAMMCL
This is what put the dampners on me buying this unit. Was so close to buying last week but now i'm thinking twice, thats one hell of a price increase!!
FeelingLucky
Have a look on the Dynavin site. They have given their unit a subtle cosmetic makeover. The two knobs are now "OEM" style and also have an orange ring illumination at night. A minor change admiddedly, but, to my eyes, it looks PERFECT. So if you want more then you'll have to buy an extension such as the one in the link

iain77
Hi. I've just got my DVD unit from Car Vision but need to know which nav software I should use and what directory location it should be in on the micro sd memory card? Also any other advise with the unit would be most appreciated.
peakey
Is everyone fitting these themselves ? I have ordered one now but just spoke to CV about fitting and he's quoting about £150, seems a bit pricey to me !
LIAMMCL
For anyone with this type of high gain antenna I have put it in the 3rd brake light. Doesnt look bad although it does push the light housing away from the rear screen slightly. Other than that I think it looks better than anywhere else and doesnt really affect the brake light visibility.

georgiansoccer
on the spec it mentions its compatible with tyre pressure monitors so can you view you tire pressures on the screen? 10,Tire Pressure Monitoring System: compatible for those which with tire pressure monitoring function cars Also it mentions 6,steering wheel control(CAN BUS+air conditioner agreement) can you control the air con from it? Can you answer a phone call with the steering wheel or do you need to use the unit? Also I take it shows the radio station name on the screen? Daniel S
Hi all first post. In my ignorance I've ordered one of these last week thinking it was a dynavin. I just assumed there was just one product. I've been reading these forums with some interest on this subject. What hasn't been answered is the oem disc changer. The description on car vision says it does work, can anyone shed some light on that?

If you can effectively control the aircon and all its functions from the screen then that would do way with the relocation kit and CC unit all altogether. Which is cool.
