Rob-
Still got a couple of bits to arrive but thought I'd make a start anyway because I'm impatient. Still waiting for the Connects2 steering wheel control adapter, patch lead and the Kenwood Ipod control USB cable thing (£25 the robbing bastards) Anyway, out came the OE HU, ashtray and cubby flap (actually took the CC unit out too but this is after it was put back in) and in went the cage and facia adapter. Then ran the USB connector cable behind the CC unit, then down to by the gear shifter. This will be connected up when the Ipod control cable arrives and further routed to the centre console and into the Eurotray. Then I had to un-route (if that's even a word) my RCA cables as they wouldn't reach to the back of the HU. They were only run up-to the back of the glove compartment as this is where my line out converter used to be. So basically had to move them up so to speak. Then I ran another pair of RCAs for the sub-woofer input on the amp. I couldn't previously do this due to only having 4 channels coming from the LOC so was using the internal input on the amp. It's now working from the external input which allows the sub to be independently controlled from the HU. As you can see I also ran the remote turn on (thin blue wire) at this point. Then ran the mic for the built in Parrot handsfree and plugged it in accordingly. Rob-
I know it doesn't look the best with being off centre but I don't give a s*** TBH. I might get a centred fascia and frame at some point if I can be arsed. If you were wondering what the white stains on the vinyl are my son threw his bottle of milk at my head while I was driving the other day I know my dash trim needs re-wrapped and my car is well overdue a valet No hissing noise when muted and best of all the incessant clicking noise has gone. Good riddance. Doesn't sound bad either.
