I would have sold those covers off and got the ones that fit the sport bumper rather than butcher those ones!

I like them, they're different :)

Aren't they technically illeagal though if they have writing underneath? I thought they had to have the postcode of the manufacturer where you have E46zone? Either way, they look good!

nice one Baz, r they technically legal tho ?

Sam - the postcode has to be in the bottom right corner and from the pics it seems Baz's do :)

I have writing there on mine too

Yes and no.

BS AU 145d is for british standards. The 'Uniplate' bit doesn't need to be there but it has to have the manufacturers postcode in the middle of the bottom as well as the british standards part. Just had a look on that link and it does say this:

Slogan*: This is thermally printed on to the reflective material in font size 10 (*if you request a slogan, your plate is no longer road legal, and our Post Code will NOT be printed. If you specify that you do not require a slogan, our Post Code will be printed UNLESS YOU SPECIFY that our Post Code must not be printed.)

To be honest i'd be surprised if anything comes of it, just so you're aware though.

I bet loads of people drive with plates like that on the road (not 100% legal but almost) and get away with it. Only thing is it may fail an MOT if they're picky.

It's still better than some of us driving without a front plate at all :P
