Paddybrown23 Posted January 6, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 6, 2015 Had a coilpack go on the way to work this morning! Engine light up ad running like a bag of crap. Managed to limp it into work and plugged in the code reader - P0301. Nipped down to Stockwell motors and got two coilpacks for £40. Fitted one and its running perfectly again. Turns out my springs weren't seated properly so we're creaking! Needed new front top mounts as well. All fitted and no creaking but car still doesn't feel quite right up front, can't put my finger on it. I've had a look and the inner and outer track rod ends look ancient and are the only thing I haven't changed! Might just get a new set and see what happens. On a more interesting note, got my third set of MV1's and tomorrow will be getting them on the car! Can't bloody wait. Should be a fun drive, can imagine I'll get some funny looks! Anyway from the photo you can see how far in the 68's sit.
