You spend all ya money on them, get them to exactly where you want and them some fcuker steals it! At least when some fcuker steals ya car you get an insurance payout! das_flo Posted July 27, 2012 Report Share Posted July 27, 2012 Why don't you nip down here with £2.5k and your E46 and take this golf off my hands, 6 cylinder torque, hatchback, german engineering, loads of spec beautiful! My bro in law is bang into his VXR's, he's on his second now. His first arden blue one was one of the first tuned ones around, it was used by Regal for demo at shows etc, what a car! He flogged that wanting a BMW, and bought an E46 M3 vert, but that got punted on as he didn't get on with the smooth power delivery. He's back in a vaux now. There's just something lacking with them for me, I can't put my finger on it. Looks wise, your BMW is nicer IMO. Performance, well, there's no competition. Rich330ci Posted July 27, 2012 Report Share Posted July 27, 2012 as a few have said it's really down to what you want from a car, the e46 is better looking and a more 'mature' car, but the VXR will give you the thrills when hooning about! the 325 just won't have the power against a tuned VXR to give the same straight line performance! i always loved playing about in FWD hatchs (mainly reno/cit/ford), but these days i much prefer a cruiser like a e46 etc, maybe you should go back to a VXR and you might find out in a year or so you might get the ///M itch! then go get M3/M5 etc!
