Frobius
Hoya Pro - 1D CPL gets my vote. Reminds me, I must order another one in 77mm flavour for the 17-55.

Proffitt
Why you giving up so easily? I got the hang of mine within an hour! Im not giving up, Im just not interested really. I don't have the interest to mess with the settings, would rather the point and shoot (Auto Mode) setting mit
PeterH
Then do that then! You'll still get better pics than your average p&s camera...
Proffitt
Then do that then! You'll still get better pics than your average p&s camera... I just see it a waste to have a £350 DSLR just to point and shoot in Auto Mode We will see anyway, I would like to keep it but like I said im just not that interested. mit
Ooh, can I join this thread if I have a Compact System Camera? I bought myself a Panasonic Lumix GF3 last Wednesday for the Paralympics opening ceremony. Stupidly took over 500 photos only for my battery to die just as my friend was coming on stage. Fail! Thoughts on it so far are: 1. Changing lenses can be very annoying. Someone should make a 12-300mm lens and not charge the cost of a gold plated lamborghini for it. 2. No optical viewfinder is weird. Weird in that I always use the optical viewfinder on a SLR and the screen on a compact, but it seems odd not using it on this thing. 3. No external flash attachment. Not that I've needed it yet, but I can see how I might need one. 4. The auto focus assist beam basically shines a light on my hand while I'm taking photos, so it's badly located on the camera. I am not sure if I'd buy one again. It was a complete impulse buy while in Dixons, but I did at least check online from my phone and their price was lower than the price comparison sites for the same camera...
