Rich_D
Needs dropping to pull those wheels off, it doesn't look right as it is Eibach springs will lower it without b*ggering up the ride quality, but the FK Street coilovers that Jay has on his 330Ci give a surprisingly compliant ride and they're not expensive >>> http://www.venommotorsport.com/product_details.php?id=15482&manufacturer=FK&category=Suspension Jay.

Rich_D
wish id have bought those instead of 4 new bilsteins :/ How much were they? A set of Eibach springs is the route for you then, but they're only about £20 less then a set of coilovers
Mark_F
paid almost £200 for the

Mark_F
Doh tell me about it. now ive got a lot of the maintenance issues sorted, i can look at other things now, and the shocks were well shot and needed replacing, ive done it the way ive always done; wheels then drop. might leave the dropping until after xmas, but we'll see, if some discounted eibachs come up i may make a swift purchase. there are other things i want to do too, sort the lenses, paint work and such. all the usual really. Rich_D
The diesel engine is heavier, although yours being a vert they are heavier than a saloon or coupe. My 330d saloon weighs 1615kg your 330Ci vert weighs 1585kg, so there's only 30kg between them, less than I thought TBH, so might be ok
Mark_F
so, its been a while, not really done much to it other than a regular wash and top up of tripple and wax. however, ive noticed mould/mildrew spots have been growing so last weekend i decided to get some roof cleaner on the go before: image by msf1278, on Flickr image by msf1278, on Flickr image by msf1278, on Flickr after: image by msf1278, on Flickr image by msf1278, on Flickr image by msf1278, on Flickr image by msf1278, on Flickr probably doesnt look like much, but the roof looks so much cleaner in person, when the weather picks up a bit im going to give it another going over. the cleaner foamed up really quickly and was a really horrible colour once id finished. will post the next time i do it too cheers

Baz2435
Looks good, but I would say that wouldn't I. It's the best colour by far in my opinion. I'm a fan of the wheels.
Mark_F
Love the blue hood. If I could change anything about the car it's the interior leather colour. Either black or champagne would go very well
Baz2435
I've got the tan/beige interior, with the wood trim. Old guys like wood trim. I'm getting the wheels refurbed at the end of the month they're in a real state. I'm looking to keep mine as stock as possible, next mod I'd like to do is full 'white bulbs' conversion on the front. Mark_F
ATM I would really like a stock looking, but raspy pipe so that I can really enjoy that sweet six pot. I've also been thinking about sorting out the paintwork, soon as I know what's going on with work. There are many colours out there that look so suited to the 46, but on a slightly biased angle I think that orient is one of the very best line complimentors. LSB,white, dark grey, silbergrau to name a few. I love how it looks when it's freshly waxed, and the other job I'd do is drop it slightly. However, I don't want to compromise the ride. I don't exactly speed over humps, in fact I drop the speed to a crawl! Haha I must piss so many people off! So when the funds allow, hopefully I'll be having this little bugger mega mint by the time the summer is over
Rebel
Looking good buddy. A decent set of coilovers won't spoil the ride and can in fact improve it (handling and ride quality) as the sport / msport suspension is noted for its crashy nature. I replaced mine with a set of Weitec coilovers and I was pleasantly surprised to find that both ride quality and handling were noticeably improved. Mark_F
Had a go at headlight restoration today, ideally needs another few passes and possibly even use the pads to really make a difference, although I'm sort of pleased after only 10 minutes each side. Also weighing up buying richs springs for a bit of a drop. Anyone live nearby with a vert that's had a subtle drop? Wouldn't mind a look and ride to make my mind up for sure
Mark_F
Still looking for anyone nearby that has a lowered vert..... In other news, it's accumulating dents and I'm not overly happy about it, as I try to park as far away from potential idiots as possible. I've had a drop link replaced, and the radiator has sprung a leak (not major) so that will be getting replacd within a week or so. This morning I refurb end the DISA valve with the kit from i6. I think they need some QS as there was lots of bits missing! I managed to do it that's the main thing, and it's made a massive difference! The torque is way more noticeable and in 2nd going round tight corners the back wants to let go. Not that I give it a foot full, I don't. I'd recommend it to everyone to change if your not sure it's already been completed, I'm going to say it has completely transformed the drive. On the whole, since owning it, there has been more cash spent on maintainence rather than asthetics/upgrades, but for the time being that's fine by me
