dannyb78
Hi all, I've been a member for a couple of weeks now since I purchased a bit of a project.. Its a 2002 320d SE Touring.. masses of history and only a couple of owners. Overall a great base with everything working and being mechanically good. So far I have removed both front wings to tidy rust bubbles, to prevent further rust I have treated with rust inhibitor around the arch areas and then sealed the inner side with an elastic stone guard coating, The wings and an M Sport front bumper have now gone to be painted. While waiting for paint I have decided to do a full engine service replacing all the filters and oil. I have also ordered prosport Coilovers and picked up some 18" CSL reps via this site :-) Over the next few days it should all start coming together and I can then set about a good clean and mop polish.... Then it will be ready to use as so far I brought it and drove straight to my workshop 20 miles and took it apart! Pics to follow

vmlopes
Whilst its in the workshop, don't let it leave without doing the swirl flaps and adding a vortex filter, probably the two most essential jobs on the BMW diesel engines dannyb78
dannyb78
Wheels are my favourite style for an e46 so had to find some. Hopefully I will be happy how they sit in the arches. Swirl flaps done and a new vortex filter fitted lastnight :-) Coilovers and body panels go on tomorrow then good clean and some pictures... I picked up a factory CD changer today so that is now fitted and working along with the aux mod so I can listen to tunes from my phone/i pod etc. Will post a pic in a few mins.. dannyb78
Just made my latest purchase.. not so exciting but found a genuine BMW/westfalia alloy frame tow bar kit.. actually complete with electrics etc. Not sure how involved the wiring will he but happier to have a genuine detachable towbar... dannyb78
Love your tourer, perfect colour set off well with the wheels and the way it sits.. Thank you.. still early days with it but simple mods is how I normally do things, I use it daily and it Tows a caravan so ride height needs to he usable which at the moment it is perfect although I am temped for another 10mm down on the front.
