obz100
hi, i have a 2000 320d 136bhp. the problem is the left hand indicator flashes too fast then settles down to normal. now i have cleaned the contacts on the bulb holders, replaced the bulbs with new ones, checked the connections on the bulb holders all were prefect. could this be the indicator stalk or the relay? where is the relay? is it a control module? is it in the hazzard light switch? every forum has a different opinion but nobody posts which the problem was! oh by the way the drivers side works perfectly. any help would be most welcome! regards max. I had this happen a couple of times and it is defo the bulb holder buddy not in full contact with the bulb don't assume its the front one either it could also be the side repeater or rear
DJ Syxx
I'd check if they are all flashing? It only flashes fast if one of your bulbs isn't making the right contact or bulb has gone.

Dicky
As above mate either bulb holder not in fully or a blown bulb that still makes a bit of contact

J555ONE
I had this problem and it just got worse, went from one side to both. I found out in the end that its the earth part of the plug is not big enough and burn out making a losoe connection. You can buy an new holder but it will just happen again. What you want to do it solder a wire to the metal (where the bulbs fit) and then just join it to the brown earth wire on the plug. make sure you solder the wire to the metal where the original earth goes to. This fixed my problem straight away. If any one wants a pic let me know and ill get one.
