Sexpanther
The odometer readout on my 1999 e36 318is has pretty much faded out to the point where I can barely read the mileage/trip. Does anyone how I can fix it? Is there a specific bulb I need and where can I get it from? I asked on Facebook and a couple guys suggested just getting another speedo or a ribbon cable. Which doesn't sound right. As my research tells me it's a 1.5w 12v bulb. (Generic picture to show odometer problem) Thanks
ibrahimx2001
Try fitting a new bulb and if that doesn't fix it then investigate further

RedDevil
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/361522182477 you need a pcp bulb there are two types the ones above with black holders also white you can get them from eBay or from BMW they are only about £2. The problem you have is a common problem on the e36 as well as the service indicators going . Try bulbs first then you might have to swap clusters but keep your speedo clocks for mileage as in swap for the replacement.
