shrink
Really don't envy those guys that have to wire the whole thing up! It's no wonder they get the odd one wrong
coolcity
I have no sound so it didn't matter what language it was in, but very interesting to watch 'my' car being built! I liked the bit where they dipped the whole car in that huge tank of stuff. I'm not really mechanically minded but it always amazes me how they get all the fixtures and fittings in, and it all looks so easy too! It must be a boring job though. Simon Turner
Very interesting video that, made me note a few points Scary to think yor car starts life as a 3 mil sheet of metal, kind of makes you realise how they can be crushed so small at the end of the cars life. Every single BMW is "flooded" before we even get it lol Love the anticorrosion dip and the fact that the rear corners under the lights are welded by hand (This is where I have a bit of corrosion on the drivers side) I wonder how many of our cars would still follow the engine perfomance line at 20:14? and HOW big are our engines? they look massive on the assembly line. Andy M
A very interesting watch, paticularly having worked at another manufacturer's factory previously. Did anybody else spot the sneaky change from a 320d SE to a 6cyl sport spec and back? Thanks for sharing the video. Now we just need a video to show how the coiled steel is produced - that's an amazing thing to watch in itself!
Wash
Hehe, I noticed they were using a 6cyl when it came to the rolling road.
Rush
Great video, I watched this so many times when looking for/buying/waiting for my car! I love how modern factories are put together, and how well they deisgn the parts on these bms, both in terms of assembly, and maintenence.... had to change a bulb on my parents nissan, and it was an absolute bitch, where as with the bm, everything comes apart and goes back together brilliantly!
