Best Wax For Black

Recommended Posts

Hiya guys i own a black 325msport coupe, i love keeping it clean but i have never gone as far as waxing etc. I am wanting to know what waxes you guys use to give a really deep glossy shine to the paint work also your opinions as to how it is best to apply.

I currently use megs gold class to wash the car which i think gives great results i am just wanting to get abit more involved in the detaling process all comments much appreciated cheers

PICS ALSO WOULD BE GREAT

I use collinite 476 on my orient blue(dark blue) and it comes up a treat. Really deep look after application and a couple of coats are meant to last 6 months!

Check out detailing world for reviews of LOTS of products and cleanyourcar.com do a package with everything you need for application and removal which is great value IMO.

X2 on that, I think that wax is amazing. Just remember before waxing or polishing use a clay bar for even better results

the autoglym hd wax is what i was thinking of getting as there is a autoglm dealer at my work so i can get it mega cheap also i can get all applicators etc so i think thats what i am going to go for. as for polish i have the ag super resin polish i this good used before or after wax cheers guys all the advice you can give me will be great

In that case, get the HD, heard nothing but good things about it!

For optimum results, wash, clay, polish then wax.

Lol no worries. Good point to rewash after claying.

You should always wax after polishing as the polish strips all paint protection. On an extra note - you don't need to clay everytime you fancy polishing and waxing. Every 6-12 months would be enough.

I did not know polish strips the protection you learn sumthing new everyday. Never gunna polish without waxing again only ever done that once though cause it was about to rain

Yup takes all the wax and sealents an anything else you may have had on there.

In the winter/spring it always rains and in the summer the sun is too hot to get the product on and off without it drying out too much. I need a garage lol.
