astrabritz
I think mine has been effected by rain/sun or some kind of polish and I cant seem to bring the shine back up, It has dull patches all over it like rain drops dried up. Has anyone else had this problem? Whats the best stuff to use on this? I've used "autosol" and tryed abit of "t-cut" but none of them have done the trick. simonlpearce
This one is easy...just get some tape and shodowline that sucker! Or You could try mothers billit (i think) which some use for tailpipes!

iluminusbutterfly
yellow duster, just apply some pressure, if that doesnt work you could always try silvo (think thats what its called) the silver version of braso

mattjonescardiff
Hang on - isn't this piece of trim actually plastic 'chrome effect' and not metal? In which case an agressive metal polish would do more harm than good??
astrabritz
I've never heard half of these polishes lol I knocked the chrome and seems solid to me so i assume its metal/alloy or whatever lol

mit
It's metal and the weird film on it is oxidation which has arisen from neglect and probably years of parking it in somewhere wet/humid. Even with the polish you'll make it look nice for a short time but it's unlikely it will come completely clean, in my experience of these things... mattjonescardiff
If it is metal then autosol should bring it up great. I shall test it out tonight! If it polishes up then protecting with a carnauba wax will delay reoxidising.
mattjonescardiff
Well I had a quick go with Autosol on a foam pad last night and the results were pretty good. I wasn't too agressive though so might go at it a bit harder again.
