Bmw London Tunnel Run 24/03/2012

BMW tunnel run for not only BMW cars or E46's alone but all German motors + friends.

Link to a map (guide only feel free to divert off) http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5256707

New start/finish point at Crescent, EC3N 2LY. As long as there are no other cars parked there (unlikely there will be many) there are some decent photo opportunities before heading off at 7pm on the 24/03/2012 and will be starting the terror in the tunnels at 8pm any late coming drivers will be able to catch up on route.

If anyone has any suggestions to where else would be a good tunnel or route to follow please add comments below.

Add names to the list and post on Facebook, Twitter, Forums and any other places so we can make this one hell of a big run!

That Sainsbury's isn't the best place to meet really as there aren't any tunnels near there, but if you're starting from there, my suggestion would be for you to drive along the river until you get to Waterloo, then cross Waterloo bridge and go up the Kingsway tunnell, then turn right, through Holborn and the City of London, towards Barbican, then towards Moorgate, Aldgate, Tower Hill, along the Highway towards Limehouse, through the Limehouse link, out the other side, then through the Blackwall tunnel, off at Greenwich, stop for a Nando's, then carry on through Greenwich Village, Deptford, Rotherhithe, Rotherhithe tunnel, back in Limehouse towards the Westferry roundabout, back into the Limehouse link from the half way point, and then towards the City. If you don't want to stop for Nando's, you could stop at Aldgate East for a curry instead. There's free parking at either of the stop locations I suggested at that time of night.

I'd offer to lead but I'd drive too slow for you lot :P

If you know how to make a google map that would help? I stole that one ha.

Just realised the map I made isn't 100% accurate because for some reason it's added an unnecessary left turn after Tower Bridge followed by a right that takes you back to where you were

I might be able to make this :) and could potentially bring a couple of mates. No German car anymore though I'm afraid! :D

Spam it everywhere! lol. I'm not a member though :(

Edit: Good point from Mikey, but unless we get upwards of 40 or so cars I can't really see them having an issue.

I think you want to be wary about making this too big as you'll only attract attention from the plod wihch will ruin any ripping through tunnels.

You say this but i've been on London tunnel runs with 500+ Japanese cars with MUCH bigger noise then our cars and no problems with it then. London plod have more to do on a saturday than take care of some cars having a little quick blip in the tunnels.

Long as we don't go crazy and start doing 90 in a 30!

I'm in! Anyone else going from the north?

Not quite the North, but I'm heading down from Milton Keynes if you'll be going passed here?

I'm coming for the crack as I'm sure my auto

won't be making much noise

It'll be a laugh even if you're not going to make any noise through the tunnels I reckon :)

Fancy a mini convoy down there?
