Recommended Posts

Guest Pablo_Emms

First go here:

http://www.bmw-warra...rDetails.asp...

Enter the reg number of the car and press NEXT, helpfully it will pull up the details of the car including the VIN. Keep that page open.

Then follow these instructions courtesy of the BMW Owner's Club:

1> Click http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/homepage/

2> From the BMW Owner Area menu, choose Genuine BMW Parts

3> From the menu on the left had side of the page click Parts Catalogue

4> From the lower part of the screen click Electronic parts catalogue. Find genuine spare parts and accessories for your BMW.

5> Use the username eu111111 and the password bmwetk1

6> Enter the last 7 digits of you VIN number and click >>

7> From the top of the next window, click Options. This displays a new window with the information on extras.

Pablo, thanks for the link. I hope you don't mind but I've moved it to the DIY section. I know there have been other posts about this, but as this one is dedicated to it and the others were just passing comments I figured it's not a bad idea to have as a guide.

It was useful for me because everytime I go to do it I never have my VIN to hand. Thanks for the link :)

Just done this for mine and saw a couple of things that the car no longer has, like the 6disc changer? Nm, Dyanavin clone going in soon.

As a side to this is there any way of getting the service history prinout in the same sort of fashion?

Now THAT would be cool. ALong with any recalls that it should have had...

First time I have done this. Its good!.

Reinforces the fact that the first owner of my car didn’t want anything except the smoker pack and 6 disk changer in the boot...

The rest of the "options" read like standard equipment....

What is Omission of non-combined operation?

How come my car was built on 30/7/2002 but no registered till 19/11/2003?

Seems odd?

Dealer showroom demonstrator or cancelled order, sat in the dealer until someone else wanted it. Edited by mit

Didn't work for me, got this while trying it with the 330 I just bought:

We are unable to process your policy. Please call the BMW Insured Warranty Services team on 0845 641 9790 to arrange cover.

Lines are open 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Edit - actually it does work if you only put in the reg number and don't enter a username or pin like the first post in this thread tells you to!
