SamN
I want to remove the carpet from my e36. I've been looking online and although it seems like it's asked a lot, I can't work out how to remove the pedal to allow me to get the carpet out!! Any ideas? It's starting to really annoy me. Gaz
You checked out real oem? Can be good to give you an idea sometimes.
tommy lee
Do you need to keep the carpet intact? I have just cut the carpet out in the past. You'll want a foot plate in there when the carpet is out. The floor is not flat.
Blair
If its like the e46 its got plastic lugs on it so needs the help of a flat blade screwdriver to prise it out
SamN
Didn't think about that Gaz, just about to have a look on realoem. I'd like to keep the carpet intact so that i can sell it. Otherwise i'd have cut it. That's still an option if i can't easily do it, but i'd rather not do that if possible. I've had a look for plastic lugs but doesn't seem very straight forward. EDIT: No clue from realoem, just this diagram. Edited May 29, 2011 by SamN

simonlpearce
I would have thought the whole pedal assembly will need to come out, which no doubt means you will need to remove a whole load of plastic interior crap to get at it. I guess this isnt really an issue when your stripping it for the track.
SamN
Cheers for the pic, i found a guide online late last night which seems easy enough. I will have a look tonight if i get time. Already removed all of plastic interior crap anyway so access isn't an issue If i can't do it easily enough then i will just cut the carpet a couple of inches and hope that's enough to remove it all.
