Jim27
Can I pick the zone's collective grey matter, please? I've got 19s on my 330ci. Rears are 19x8.5 ET43 and the car is on standard sport shocks with Eibach lowering springs. I want as much sidewall on the tyre as possible to give it some squish to absorb road impacts (and hopefully avoid ANOTHER cracked rear wheel). 235/35r19s were too shallow and ended up with the wheels cracking. 255/40r19 give a tonne of sidewall but unfortunately scrape like a b*****d on the wheelarch/liner. I know this because having just spent nigh-on £200 on these tyres and fitting I almost started sobbing when I heard them scrape from the moment I pulled off the drive. So what tyre size would you recommend? Edited August 23, 2016 by Jim27
momo
Go in between? 245/40/19.. Although if you want sidewall - it'd be better to switch to 17's.. 18's at the very least!
Daz 330 Cs
You'll need to switch to 18s if you want huge sidewalls. I ran 9.5J 245/35/19 for years with zero issues. Yours are only 8.5J though so you can't go wider. You may get away with 255/35. Need to get the calculator out to work out the percentages but it's coffee time
