Daz 330 Cs
Both very similar looking , For me the Dynavin is now too dear at £650 , the Pi55take £100 price hike last week is enough to deter me from even thinking about it .
Mikey
Hmmm, looks like Dynavin in disguise IMO.
Richy_Boy
I had an email back from a Chinese manufacturer who seems to have the same hardware as the Dynavin unit with a different (better IMO) gui in place: This product is new ,and it's still on test and will be complete till next week or later . Please check the attachment of our BMW car dvd player price list .Yes,DVB-T is optional ,it will be USD40.00 if you need add it . For the sample ,please check the price as below : Car DVD player with GPS and DVB-T for BMW E46 : USD490.00(not include the map ,if you need the map ,you need pay additional $10.00 for the map with SD card ,and this is demo map) Shipping to UK by DHL :USD85.00 I'm very glad to know you are interesting to sell this car dvd player ,we have 5 years experience in car dvd player ,I'm sure we can help you to purchase in China and enlarge your market . This is Ms. Wei ,sales manager of sundaybuy ,if you have any question ,please feel free to contact me ,I will reply you within 24 hours . That's £380 in Engrish... (plus import tax and VAT - unless it's a warranty item/gift ) As they claim their unit is still in testing (possibly just their software front end), I have asked if the low volume level hiss remains and if they have done anything about the glare problems on the unit. HOpefully if these two things can get sorted then it should be an all around good buy. Please note, the prive above is for 1-10 units, it drops by $20 if 11-50 are bought, then down to $420 if 51-100 are bought. Personally, I don't think that's enough saving to run a group buy on these, HOWEVER, shipping costs will reduce massively if a few of us/you buy together and then courier to homes in the UK. suhail97
I saw these last week and am seriously looking into one, I was told they are available after 25ft April if you look through some of the chinese websites and change the $ to € you can make a saving on the exchange rate, I saw some for €350 so roughly £310? scrimja
Rich is that the Hualligan or whatever it is called? I think the best thing is to hold off from buying anything till this new manufacturer gets this thing to market. If it doesn't, the Dynavin can't get any more bloody expensive. If it does, the Dynavin will decrease in price because of the competition and then there will be a choice available.

I like the look of the user interface, looks better than that on the Dynavin...

chris
To me that unit looks better than the dynavin one, plus a built in mic too! Umm perhaps i will hold on a bit before i get the dynavin version then
paul-n
just done an aprox calculation on import taxes and it came out at an additional £133 on importing a single unit so I'm not sure if it's worth it in the event of a warranty claim unless there was an official UK importer we could buy one from,or as suggested try to dodge the import duties claiming it as a gift, sample etc.

chris
Well i got a price of $435 so take the tax and dollar rate should be quite a bit cheaper than the dynavin unit (hopefully). But "samples" are available the begining of next month, but i can pre order now. Downside is there is no sd card or DVB-T extra, thats another 40 dollars. 325i
Does that include delivery to the UK? The description does mention a card slot for nav and one for multimedia.

So $475 + 17.5 % + Import fees?? and this is delivered?? In that case its going to be a good bit cheaper with the exchange rate at ~ $1 = £0.65 , and I think it looks better so I'm seriously considering this! 325i
Do yo pay both VAT and import fees? I thought it was only of them.
paulfoley30
Do yo pay both VAT and import fees? I thought it was only of them. I believe so, unless you say that whatever is in the package is something like a gift or something - there are exemptions to import fees, but I don't know what they are, as far as I'm aware if you want to be completely truthful you do. But I'm more than happy to be corrected and pay less for this radio lol

chris
ahhh, now I've caught up, so where can I get myself a sample then?? You can go direct, but its still a lot to have a sample unit. I really want to get one, and im half there just without seeing one or having any feedback at all its difficult. Not as if its just £100 thats the thing. I'm in the exact same boat, don't want to miss out on it for this price though like I did with the Dynavin. So I'm seriously considering just getting one, especially if I can get a discount for a group buy. So they're available now then??? Are there any reviews??
