  2. Some of you maybe aware of this, and also a grey area for some on the subject of mapping,

I spotted on Facebook that derby remapping services have got an offer on remapps for bmw this month...... So I thought I'd share as its not in my interest to have done

    Most bmws for £219

    M3, m5 and m6 £250

    Performance or economy remapps

  3. All I'm gonna say is this, add everything up and plus another couple hundred to your budget, coz some suppliers don't half give you some crazy bill estimates, it will act as abit of a float incase u leave Sumat on over night etc, if u don't go into ur float cash with bills etc, in a couple of months treat the pair of you to something or the house to something, but always leave that float money there, give regular meter readings to suppliers to stop em raping you, ask for a energy meter which are normally free from suppliers, you'll be watching it like a halk to start with but believe you'll soon find out what's costing the most and will save you shed load,

Council tax, you only pay 10 months and you get a 2 month break at the end so hold onto that,

Keep calm as stress levels are gonna be tight to start with but you'll soon adapt to the cost of running a house,

Was hell when we first started, as we didn't have a clue, but now we don't even notice it,

Set up another account just for the house and bills, nothing else, saved confusion and makes managing a lot easier

Good luck with it mate, with the pair you the best of happiness

  4. Welcome daz, nice motor, nice colour ;) (ay jay-)

I'm fairly new to the land of bmw and the zone also, you'll soon start spotting other e46 on the road and noticing their subtle changes, getting some ideas together,

Got an idea where I'm goin with mine now after speaking to a few on here.... Good bunch of lads,

Now It's just down to time and $$$$

Again Welcome to the land of e46s, light wallets and angry misses for spending the holiday fund on a part that's just to good of deal to pass up ;)

  5. I've been looking into these. Purely because there aren't any tracking places round my area that will track my car. Too low apparently

My supra was pretty low but didnt have any issues with a proper wheel alignment center

I tried 4 different places around Nottingham/Derby, and all of them were recommended by the local 'dubbers', who run fairly low cars and these places can usually do them, but my car's lower than most of theirs! lol

I've got one more place yet to try when I get chance!

I'm trying these in chesterfield prob this weekend, saying it will be about £20, I know my fronts need doing but ill ask if they will do lowered cars, let u know how well they get on

  6. It seems to be the goin rate believe it or not, I know some 323s can possibly be a cheaper, friend of mine picked one up with under 60k for 2.5k which wasn't bad buy, but I was looking for about 3 months for a gem to crop up,

For anything decent with less miles, less rust etc, think the 3.5k-4k bracket is where the decent ones start,

Around 3k you'll find a gem will crop up, or be prepared to do a little to it, keep an eye out for the ones that you think look good that keep getting relisted (eBay), prob find there losing patients and will settle a lower price if message them

This happened to me and I found quite a few we're lowing into my price bracket

    "Diamond in the rough"

    Happy hunting mate

  7. Off topic but I here the bilderburg protest was a good turn out, wish I'd gone down, a lot of people opening there eyes now, David icke had a double page spread in the sun the other week,

On topic I'm new to the bm world and I'm well happy with its mpg, compared to the 2.5 V6 I had b4, m54 is such a better developed engine

  8. 10 hrs for mine :( those 2 top bolts were a bitch, had to take the scuttle panel of to get a air hacksaw to them, hard bolts aswell, took 20 blades to do, if it wasn't for that a recon it would of been 3 hrs easy, dropping mine again next week to replace the indent spring, got my clutch and dmf from Motoquip seems to be the cheapest for lux
