ardy89
I understand that it has to be a 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water, but how much coolant will I need for my 2002 330i? Also do I have to buy BMW coolant or can I buy regular red coolant from Eurocarparts? Thanks
simonlpearce
I have just stuck ordinary coolant in mine, not sure how much it actually takes as i didnt undo/drain the stuff out the engine block as i didnt have the tools to get at the nut. ardy89
Thanks for your help, I'll be doing the same, only draining from the radiator and not the block, suppose if its got the blue coolant in then its best to stick more BMW coolant in rather than mix the two. Damn expensive though!
simonlpearce
As i couldnt do the block i just flushed the system twice, at leats this way it dilutes the old stuff so its nearly all new in there.
Flat6
I changed my rad at the weekend and it took around 6L without draining the block. The red "premium" coolant from ECP is the correct one to use, around £13+vat for 5l iirc (mix 50/50)
