Gaz
Looking good mate! Bet it feels so much smoother now to the touch. I noticed your paints got a bit of an orange peel effect to it. I'm beginning to think all BMW's paint is like this, my last 3 have all had it
m2287
cheers mate, yea its so smooth its rediculus, not sure what u mean about the orange peel effect?! If you saw the clay bar ud think it had some sort of a brown effect originally haha... Dont know but in the second photo, there is some light blue stuf on the trim, ive tried tcutting it for ages and it wont come off, apparently you should use some sort of rubbing compuond, anyone got any idea where you can get this from, my local car place didnt have anything and could only suggest tcut? scrimja
Mine has an orange peel effect too. You can only see it when it's uber clean though. Car looks great pal. Good effort on the cleaning! Orient blue yeah?

Martyn
Looks the nuts will have to give this clay stuff a go and nice to see another with black rims.
Jorge-
Another one for the orange peel, boot is covered in it. Slack sprayers. Love how the paint feels after claying it... so smooth.
Gaz
Glad it's not just me then. Had a look at a colleagues brand new 1 series that they collected last week, and I definitely wouldn't have accepted the car in that condition! If the car had orange paint you literally could mistake it for an orange
Flat6
All the new BMWs have horrendous orange peel. There's a long standing thread on PH about it. Dark colours show it worse and it doesn't seem to matter if you've bought a £50k M3 or a £18k 1er, the finish is shocking. Nice clay work btw
Gaz
Seems like a fundamental flaw really.
