///M-Power Posted September 21, 2008 Report Share Posted September 21, 2008 Quality weekend out, really enjoyed it and as said before it was great to put names to faces - really impressed with all the rides out there today I thought the stand looked awesome - I cant wait to see dicky's professional photography (its got to be better than dave d's camera work )! Camping was awesome apart from the cold weather at night - I'm just waiting to see who's first to start a shoe detailing thread after sinking into the mud a few times. Cheers to dicky & the rest of the camping crew for providing a lot of the gear, those disposable bbqs turned out quite well actually.. I think I'm just about recovered from the whiplash I got last night on the dodgems after you'd all had a few - was a good laugh but I wasn't really feeling those pole dancers in the bar afterwards! Anyway looks like we got across the message about the zone, check out how many views this thread has had so far. I thought the day was brilliant, although i only got to half relax near the end (so i could do a couple of 13.9 runs in my standard E36 M3!! Woop woop!) And i burnt the clutch out on my mates touring! lol (it was going anyway!). Nice seeing you all as always and a couple of new faces 2! Im always up for a Nurburgring trip some time soon? And it was nice to finally meet some of you lot. Perfect weather too. I've got a good amount of pics that i'll sort out and upload tonight. As well as a vid of the stupidly loud jet car. My ears were ringing 20 minutes later. Hope everyone got home ok. We saw, what we thought, was a E30 (black with black wheels) on its roof just heading towards the M1. People were trapped inside. saw 3 wheels badly buckled and dented. It looked like it lost control on a roundabout and hit an other car. I do hope it was an accident, and he wasnt driving like a maniac on the roads. That is what the show was for!! Anyway, thanks again for everyones support. We had at least 10 members sign up from 6pm last night. I hope to get a bunch more today. Oh, i've also created a subforum for photos and comments on past events. Yea that was on the A509 just before you get onto the M1, It was outside a 4X4 Dealership, I think i missed that accident by less than a minute, called dicky to let you guys know, never realised it was a BMW though, but it totally flat on its roof right upto the doors!!! ie where you rest your elbow if your window is down, not sure anyone could survive that as that line is normally below the headrests!!!! Did you leave long after me sam?? Looked pretty bad, was gonna get out and help but there were already loads of people swarming about, lets just hope they were ok (which I doubt) I dare say the came down the same hill as me, and picked up speed, (i now a lot of people were doing it) then slammed into a car at the roundabout at the bottom then flipped into the opposite side of the two lanes..... We saw a plain vectra with blues going after we past. Then way further on, i was overtaking a slow car and a vecta came the other way pretty quick! it looked like a E30 M3, but i was trying to avoid all the idiots who just stopped on the road to look. Reckon it was a big sprint down the hill towards santa pod and he just lost it. Feel sorry for the other car involved. Properly totally innocent.
