MattBMW Posted September 22, 2008 Report Share Posted September 22, 2008 Ok sorry did not post yesterday was absolutely cream crackered by the time I got back…me and Dirty went to see the jet car one last time in the VIP area and OMFG was it loud, I have a short vid which I’ll post up later if anyone missed it. Anyways what an amazing day! The weather was spot on, some nice trade stands and the free drift track looked pretty awesome despite all the damage that took place on there. I think people went through a lot of tyres that day. All in all as said before it was nice to put names to faces and just generally chat to everyone. Thanks to Sam for sorting the T-shirts, stickers, flyers and Banner. Thanks to dicky and the rest of the Saturday nighters for sorting out the stand on the Sunday. And a big thanks to all the attended the day would have not been the same without the turn out! I hope it brings in more members and can’t wait for the next meet. Ant Posted September 22, 2008 Report Share Posted September 22, 2008 was a good day, dont think i got to meet many of you, spoke to a few thought the time flew by, often time tends to drag at the shows weather was good, cant ask for much more, apart from the pole dancers...what happened to them? A man died in a road accident near the Tickford roundabout in Newport Pagnell yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. The man was in a BMW convertible with one male passenger when it turned upside down during the crash. An air ambulance took the seriously injured passenger to hospital while the driver of the BMW died at the scene. A second car, a Peugeot 206, was also involved. Both men from that car were injured and taken to hospital. A Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesman said emergency workers put up a screen to keep the scene private from onlookers. "It was a very serious incident," he said. "Crews from Newport Pagnell and Broughton worked extremely well in very difficult circumstances. "Police have started a full investigation into the crash and until that is completed we are unable to say how it happened." Big thanks to Colin for the remap. The car has oodles more torque, runs smoother and is more responsive. Last years best time of 15.084 was bettered with a very pleasing 14.643. The convoy was such a success and a big thanks to all of you who braved the early start and chilly air to meet up. The stand looked awesome and we really held our own there yesterday Was great to meet so many of you including Steve, Verity, Keith and Marty to name but a few and great to see you again dicky-at last you have seen the beast and its real lol! (or I really do have Photoshop live!!)
