 Wassup,

 Errr, Hi i'm Tim, Bristol.

Here's my current brace of E46's. Hard to believe that's less than a grands worth of luxury german cars there.

Left we have a delightful (hateful) 318I complete with probably every common fault know to the e46 plus some new and extraordinary ones. However it does start every morning so thats a bonus I guess.

Right is my altogether more interesting 328i fixer upper in pensioner green with matching creme leather.

I'll mostly be found asking serious technical questions like "why do my brake lights keep staying on" or trying to scrounge cheap bits for the 328.

Cheers lads.

It's sitting on Coilovers with a surprisingly decent ride, it's really not much stiffer than my mk5 Golf on eibach springs, and when you take into account the BM is running 19" 35 profile run flats, I'd have expected it to be much firmer.

Hi, my names Chris. I'm from South Wales. Been on here a while, always had bmws and e30 which I just regrettably sold to my best friend. I'm 27.

I have a topaz blue 320d which I've spent a fair bit on making it mine and also major servicing and parts.

Hi Folks. Just signed up after purchasing my first E46 last week.

My Name is Iain and I'm from Glasgow (Well Cambuslang for anyone who knows the area). I'm 35 and work as an Engineer for a company who supply equipment to fish farms.

The car was meant to be a cheap run-a-bout for year but after my weekly commute I have been slowing falling for it. Its a bit taty at the moment. Could do with the passenger side arches having the rust removed and needs a right good detailing but mechanically the car is solid. Has the airbag light on but ordered the bypass kit and reset tool so hopefully that will sort it out. Its a 2003 325i sport auto in Orient Blue with grey leather interior. Its got 115k on the clock and picked it up for £1200 which I think was a bargain.

Here are some pics from the sellers add on autotrader but once I have got it up to scratch I will post some better images.

Hello there.

I thought I would just take the time to introduce myself quickly.

Not much to tell really as I've only just recently bought a 1999 E46 323iSE Auto. It seems to be doing fine at the moment, the only issue being the dreaded Airbag Light. Did buy a bypass unit and plugged it in but it's still there... :( I hear the only place that can get rid of it is a BMW Specialist...??? My local garage couldn't, said he saw no codes at all...! Hence couldn't clear what wasn't there.

Anyway, taking it for a bit of a run tomorrow down to Torquay - I live in Southampton. Hope all goes well... ;)

Anyway, it's not as special as some on here I see, but I will post a couple of photo's anyway. I've mostly owned Mercs and lately a Rover 75 V6.

I hope to have a good time on here but just excuse if I ask too many questions. :)

Thanks for having me! ;)

Thanks RedDevil....

Oooooo, way too early yet.. I've only had it a month! :)

I have already fitted a Pioneer HU and Sub in the Boot along with some wheelspacers and Blitz Induction. ;)

But some better wheels would be nice and maybe a sportier rear silencer. (Although I have fixed the Flap open). ;)

We'll just have to wait and see on finances - I'm on a pretty tight budget unfortunately... :(

But I'll keep you all informed don't worry.

Hi everyone,  Kav here, new to the page although I joined in 2012.

My ride is a 99 328ci, picked it up 5 years ago with 33k on the clock, all bills and mot's, I've spent way more than I should have on upgrades,  bought another subframe to put some Powerflex in, drop old one insert new one. It's starting to bubble on both front wings, new gen parts purchased, fitting and spraying in August.

This morning I replaced the headlight angle sensor and arm, and replaced the headlight washer pump.

If I could work out how to upload photos,  I'd put some on.

Looking forward to chatting with some like minded people.

Hello Folks!

Just bought my first BMW yesterday, and wanted to find a forum! I find these forums invaluable for advice, opinions, recommendations etc.. so here I am!

So me... I'm receptionist / book keeper / accountant / HR / admin / dogs body of an independent garage. (I call it 'Office Bitch' for short). For the past 3 years I've been driving a Mk1 MX5.. and I love it! But a few months ago I turned 30, and thought it time to grow up a bit . I've always loved bimmers, always wanted one for myself. (The other half has an E36 M3 Evo....) So the MX5 is getting turbo charged and I've bought a 330ci to be my new 'sensible' daily driver.

Do feel free to slag off the Mazda, I'm used to it lol. I just hope you're less w****r-ish than the MX5 crowd - many of them just refuse to speak to me because I bought a BMW lol!!

So thanks for reading my ramblings, and Hi.

Hi and thanks for the welcome!

I assume you want the bmw spec... its a 330ci m sport coupe. Its got all the fancy s**t eg; harmon kardon, black leather, that double din head unit (which I have quickly learned is a bit rubbish!) and errrr its grey! lol. I'll put a pic up soon.
If you're asking about the 5, then its a 1.8 eunos, poverty spec (manual everything). All thats been done to that is cosmetic things.. a proper sound system install (sub, 6x9's, mids - but they don't encroach at all. Cant see any of it, the roof still goes down and I still have my boot space!) A front splitter and some low profile headlights. Then I've gone with some silly wide (8j front 9j rear) 16" banded steelies. Still on standard suspension. Got a cat back exhaust from MX5parts - loud, but a nice loud; and a K&N induction kit. On Saturday, it's going away for a while... I'll be getting it back turbocharged!  Well excited!!

Can you tell which car I've had longer?

Bimmer had some knocks and the coolant level light kept flickering on and off.
(I work at a garage) Got the lads to give it a once over.
Trailing arm bushes almost non existent. Front wishbone rear bushes - f**ked. Front anti-roll bar bushes - f**ked.

So had all of them replaced with power flex bushes yesterday. Had the coolant bled and refilled.

3 days since coolant issue, and no lights have come back .
Drives like a dream now. Massively happy with it :D:D:D

(It's no MX5 though  haha)

Hi just thought i'd say hello - picked up this rather lovely 320i Sport Touring on saturday.

It drives lovely, and doesnt really need anything doing to it at all aside from a good interior and engine bay clean and to swap the cassette head unit for a business CD so i can connect my ipod.

I had a 330i Sport touring back in 2012 which i never really gelled with mainly because i had too much money tied up in it and the fuel prices were a lot higher then. Of course this is nowhere near as fast but it drives so well and owes me just under half what i spent on the 330i so im already much more comfortable with it.
