Introduce yourself

Recommended Posts

Hi,

This is my first BMW from a long list of cars I've owned over the years.

I've got a 2003 320D sport touring, I've only had it a few days now & I'm more than impressed with it.

Now I know this isn't the correct place to ask (I couldn't figure out where to ask) but I'm looking for a trusted BMW specialist in or around Bristol as I desperately want to get the 'swirl flaps' replaced with the blanking plugs as soon as I can.

Cheers Rob.

Hi Guys and Girls, Im new to the BMW world so I thought I'd put a few lines down to introduce myself;

My names Adam, and im 23 and in the RAF, currently in the wonderful middle east for another month before i get home to pick up a 320d M Sport.

Just wondering if there is anything I should be careful of with the car... and also I am looking to get the exhaust replaced with a custom stainless steel system to give the car a nice throaty sound... can anyone warn of any problems with this? And before you petrol boys get tighty, I need the diesel as i do many many many miles a year!!!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Adam

Hello all, another newbie here. I've just bought a 320d. This is my first BMW as I've always been into Japanese cars in the past. My last car was a 1997 Toyota Celica GT-Four so the 320d is a step down in terms of performance but I am astounded at how economical it is! I live in Sandwich and drive about 30k miles a year which meant the four had to go but so far I'm really happy with my new car.

No major plans to modify it, I'll just tidy up the bodywork and get rid or any orange or chrome bits.

Thanks for all the useful stuff I've already learnt from this forum!

Welcome mate :) Both cars look nice. I've never owned a Jap car, I feel like I'm missing out!

Beemer will look stunning when the orange indicators have gone! :D

Afternoon all

Just thought i'd sign up here as I've just treated myself to a 330 Sport.

I'll get some photos up in the gallery shortly.

I know how useful it is to have access to a good forum when tinkering with cars. So look forward to taking some inspiration & advice from you all... hopefully I can make it to a few meets as well..

Beck.

Hello All,

New owner of an '03 330ci cab here, saying "Hi" and wishing to compliment E46 Zone on having such a useful and busy site

I had an E39 Touring a while a go as a family barge and fell in love with the 2.5L straight-six, so I guess it was only a matter of time that I would come back to the fold!

Anyway, the cab has only 34k on the clock courtesy of the original purchaser using it as an occasional car and the vendor (to me) is a part-time Detailer - so the car is in tip-top condition.

I took quite a while researching the right car for me

Looking forward to contributing and learning in equal measure chaps!

Cheers,

bluetone

Hi All, another Tony joining the crew

New to the site and new to BMW having previously been a dub fan.

A bit about me: Live in London, 39, Work in IT, No longer married, 1 kid.

A bit about my ride: 2005/55 plate 330ci MSport, Sparkling Anthracite, pretty much standard except for recent Emaps remap which has improved general drive etc. Originally wanted an Alpina B3 or B3s but wanted to stay with a manual shift and fell in love with this one. Love old skool bimmers (E30s and 635csi) but needed something pratical as I no longer have a garage

Future plans: Probably keep it OEM, would love to go the forced induction route but been there, done that and spent waaay too much! Perhaps a fresh set of rims when the MV2s shed their skin

Hey to all on the forum,

My name is Carl and live in Swale, Kent. My previous cars to drive was an old Pug 106 XND (mums car) and my first car I owned a 99 Saxo VTR. I have recently bought a 52 E46 320i in Topaz Blue. Loving the build quality and the power (compared to the Saxo). Few scratches here and there but was bought for about a grand less than most 320s and has done about 40k less so couldnt complain. Really pleased with her and once I have saved a bit of cash the plans are matte black kidney grills, boot spoiler (OEM), matte black window surrounds and new trim inside (currently wood) and poss MV2 rims. I havent got any pics but will upload when i get a chance
