What Et Are Rh Topline Rims?? Doesnt Show On The Back Due To Refurb

Recommended Posts

Hi, is there another way to find out what ET a rim is without looking at the back of the rim...

I have got a set of 17" RH Topline 8.5j. Ive put them on my e46 and the fronts make a grinding noise when i turn the steering.

il try uploading some pics this evening..

before someone asks iv only put these rims on becoz my rims need new tyres...

Probably like ET45 all round, front are usually like 35.

Checked to see if they are different front and rear?

To change the fronts and rears is gonna be abit of a problem as the rears have 255 40's on them..

Im going to put my MVRs back on soon as i replace the tyres. hopefully in a couple of days n then the RHs will go on the e30 if i can get a 5 stud converion.

my 19s are 8.5j et43 on the fronts and i noticed inner tyre wear. does this mean i have a high offsett for the fronts.. will spacer do the job?

WheelOffset.jpgReally not sure.. can't tell you numbers like ET without looking at the wheel itself.

You can try and measure it, but it won't be very accurate.

Work out where the centre of the wheel is, then measure to the back of the face where it mounts the hub.

I didn't think that would suit an E46 as you mostly see them on E30's but that works! Shouldnt be getting rubbing though. Offset normally is stamped on the rear of the wheel? The offset on those look like 35-45 from the pics.

They look good, i prefer them to the MVR's. They look fresher. Perhaps a spacer in the rear. 5 series ET20 8J 17's seem to be gaining popularity here. I'm running a set on the rears atm. Just one note, the 215/45 tyres rub on the arch when I get five people in the car so they'll need rolling, only £100 notes for the pair from arch enemy.

(just thought i'd qualify the rubbing a little, mine's lowered approx 45mm on HSD coils. Not sure how the EIbach kit you have compares, looks a little higher (i couldn't have the deeper sport bumber without striking speed bumps and steep cambers))
