You wont regret getting a clubsport! They're brilliant! You may take some slack for the rear spoiler though <_< There's enough of us clubsport owners to back you up now though! haha.

Is it Estoril blue?

Welcome to the Zone easym5 :)

Poor mans M3 with a chavvy spoiler

<_<

haha maybe but its got a higher spec than urs :( (higher meaning closer to M3)

I absolutely love my 330 Convertible, seeing as a 330 Clubsport is a 330 CI with some bits stuck on I assume it's pretty much the same :o

(Sorry CS owners, little ribbing there)

dude will be getting one of these next, just ignore Daz hes jealous as he cant lower his roof when its sunny :) LOL

There are many of us clubsport drivers that can tell u its a brilliant drive. They stand out from normal plane jane 330ci and thats mainly why i bought mine it is just more unique <_< there lower at the front than a normal one and you can hear the six pot so much nice as the sound deading got removed. You honestly wont be dissapointed mate.

As I've said before, this guy came at the car the complete wrong way. He was looking at it as a competitor for an M3. It's not, it's just a better version of the already good 330ci.

Poor mans M3 with a chavvy spoiler

<_<

If the clubsport is the poor mans M3, then the 330 is the poor mans Clubsport. Going by your logic.

Back OT - It really depends what your looking for in terms of a car! Going by your current steed you are one for comfort and style with performance when you want it, rather than looks and drive.

I wouldnt expect any E46 to be as comfortable as the 5er, the ride will be harder and more demanding. However it will give you more of a thrill in the twisties and looks a damn sight finer IMO of course.

More details on exactly what you want from the car are needed.

OK then back OT.

My personal pros of the Clubsport:

Looks - It is lower than the standard 330, has front splitters added, generally the colours are nicer/more unusual than standard 330's, it's also got the clubsport spoiler which is a bit of a marmite accesory. You either love it, or you hate it. Personally I (and many other users) love them.

Sound - 20kg of sound proofing was removed from between the cabin and the engine. Not only did this save weight, but it gives a much nicer sound. It's not so loud that you get sick of it, but it's loud enough that you know you're driving a 3litre straight 6 <_<

Individuality - Driving round you'll see hundreds of standard 330's. The clubsports however are much, much rarer. Only once have I seen another driving around (except for meets of course). There are only 6 Carbon blacks, and 75 Estorils on the road. I'm not sure how many Velvet blues.

Resale - Come sale time, you're going to have a lot less competition. 330's are ten a penny, but as I said above, the Clubsports are a lot rarer.

Personally I think you'd be better off getting a clubsport, but then I am going to say that owning one myself. Whichever you go for though, you wont be disapointed I don't think :o

It depends on your budget - except what Gaz has listed the clubsport doesn't really offer much over the 330. Exclusivity and thats about it.

You can add the splitters for less than £100, gear knob for £40. Then its just the kick plates and spoiler really. Wheels nearly everyone will change at some point, and you'll lower it more no doubt if you want to modify a car like that 5 series.

Your better off buying the real deal instead of buying cheap parts to immitate. But if you bought a normal 330 and did all these things it'll be classed as modded, something to consider when selling as people avoid it, buy the genuine thing and you play it safe <_<

Dont get me wrong 330ci are pretty much identical, but a clubsport stands out.

Getting kinda bored of these stupid comments on clubsports and really don't see how it can be classed as poor mans m3 as IMO its not something you would compare to an M3. Getting kinda boring now and doesn't help the original poster.

Welcome to the forum btw. As you have had previous BM's before usual stuff to check is the bushes, leaky shocks usual wear and tear. Check all elecrtrics work, engine should be smooth and has a good service history.

Thanks for the welcome guys and i didnt mean to start an argument amongst some of you lol, i do agree that it is an individual car and those are the sort of models i like, something that looks a little bit special and they do seem to hold their price.

I do like the spoiler and the wheels do look a lot like m parras which i think are the best out there

One more question, what do we think about the steering wheel paddle shift i have seen on some cars regards Chris
