mini-man-dan
Hi All Bought myself a 54 plate BMW 318i M Sport a couple of weeks back and just found this site whilst on the hunt for a set of wheels! Basically I've owned classic Minis in the past, and finished restoring a Mini Pickup about 2 months ago. Cut a long story short, because of my age and the customisations on the Pickup I couldnt insure it, so ended up selling both that one and the Mini I had as a daily driver and bought myself an e46, and went halves with Dad on a Vauxhall Nova 2.0 Redtop trackday toy, just for the fun of it! Was originally looking for a 318ti Compact Sport but couldn't find a decent one anywhere at the time, but found this 4dr saloon about 5 miles away from me, so went to look at it and fell in love As said, it's on a 54 plate, done 79k miles and I paid just over the £5k mark for it which I didn't think was bad. Anyways, I had the roof, mirrors and rear lip spoiler vinyl wrapped by Bristol Blue Customs in gloss black a couple of days ago, to match with the window surrounds and bumper mouldings. I think it looks quite effective. Also got the rear windows light smoke tinted by them. My next plan is to get it on some 18's, then that will be it. I want the car to look OEM really, as if it could've rolled out of the factory like it. So if anyone's got any 18's they want to sell, let me know! Not wanting to go down the standard MV1 or MV2 route like everyone else though. Maybe something like CSL reps?? Here's some pics: And this is me having a bit of sideways fun in the Nova last Saturday in the snow at Castle Combe... And if you are wondering, Dad does polycarb windows for race rally and trackday cars hence why it's plastered across the side of the Nova! Don;t try the website at the moment though, there's been a right balls up swapping between the old site and the new one, we haven't had emails or a site for 3 days now... simonlpearce
Hello and welcome, enjoy the BMW and be careful in the snow if its your first RWD. Shame you had to get rid of the minis as they sounded a right laugh to drive.

RickyZ
Beemer looks awesome dude, loving the contrast, did I read right, u have high gloss body mouldings ? Welcome to the Zone too
mini-man-dan
Hi Mate No they are the standard body mouldings, so not gloss as such. Just use plenty of back 2 black and they soon become glossy Dan

Dr T
That wrap looks tip top. Hard to find mods that suit the silver cars. nice work. What about lowering it and spacing out the current alloys. I'm a big fan of 17" on e46's, and some black kidney grills.
Gaz
Agreed you definitely need black kidney grilles I'm not a fan of the black bumper mouldings though. I'd get them colour coded personally. I think the other black you've had wrapped will still look sweet with colour coded bumpers too
mini-man-dan
Thanks for the replies. Im not keen on suspension mods, i like the ride as it is. I doubt wheels will be coming anytime soon, with Christmas and all! Black kidney grilles are a good idea, i may look around for those. Maybe some carbon badges too. And im in Nailsea near Bristol. Cheers Dan :-)

mini-man-dan
Cheers for all the replies Really need some new wheels now, one of the tyres is on it's way out and if I'm looking at new wheels I don't want to be forking out for a new 17" tyre. So has anyone got any 18's they want to sell? They must have good tyres. Try me with anything apart from MV1's! I would put a post up in the wanted section, but it won't let me 'till I've put up over 50 posts Cheers Dan
Individual 330ci
Welcome to the site. The 46 looks nice, vinyl roof's are taking off atm! I am also a Mini Man! I have had a 1992 City since the age of 15 that I have heavily modded and cant bring my self to sell. It was my first car and Ive spent too much money to part with it! Still only a 998 though but a new lump is on the cards next year! Heres a pic:
