What it says to me is

"Some of you guys are beyond anal, so I'm going to poke fun at you" lol

Funny enough though, I was remeniscing yesterday about washing neighbours cars as a kid in the 80's

I used a sponge in an old bucket, with fairy liquid. No hose. No such thing as a pressure washer. Snowfoam? In the 1980's? Hell no. Half of them were lucky if I dried the car. If I did I used a T-towel until some one introduced me to the evil that is a leather chamois!

They always paid me and said good job though lol.

Although to be fair, a manky old Rover SD1, a Capri Ghia and the odd mk3 Escort with "Red" paint werent going to look worse for being dried with a t-towel now were they!

Obviously over the years my technique has developed somewhat, but I can still find the odd use for some fairy liquid and a t-towel sometimes.

That's not what some of the more anal cleaners will tell you lol.

Only reason I dont use one any more is microfibre just dries a car better and faster. But the anals will tell you that a chamois will destroy your paint and that you might as well dry the car with sandpaper.

It's what I do every week, his car looks just as spotless as mine and yet people on the Zone think it's a bad idea.

If its good enough for £130k Lambo it's good enough for a £7k Beemer ;)

Wait, do you not know its a joke?

Of course it's not a joke, washing up liquid and an old t-shirt are perfect for washing cars?

Especially if you can charge some mug a load of money for doing it.

I'm lost now. I don't know if you're joking or not :o

Check some of the comments people have said.

How can it be a joke? He's even put pictures up of him doing the processes to his car and look how good the car looks....

No he didn't. He put pics up of bottles next to a car. Do you see the toothbrush touching the wheels?

Or a video of him pouring the eco cleaner on the body work?

It took some effort to get it that clean. A bird shat on it (fat thing from Essex, think she'd been drinking WKD Blue) and the only way to shift it was by using one of those green pads from the kitchen sink. Took the crap off easily, i recommend them.

I was told I may need to polish and wax it. Sticking to the homeware theme I used:

I've been made aware that using "machine polisher" is a good way to get a really good finish. But no need to waste my money on one. I have a cordless drill, I can poke a hole though the scouring pad and use those in conjunction with the drill to really buff her up. :)
