TokaM
Hi guys, thought I'd do a quick write up of a job i did today on the car....... basically one side of my drivers door mirror would not move when operating the switch. The motor could be heard but it would not move inwards. (Up down and outwards were fine). To start with, remove the mirror - push the mirror all the way in at the bottom, this will push the top outwards so you can insert a flat screwdriver and gently prise the mirror of from the center. I checked the clips around the ring on the back of the mirror - all still intact Next onto the problem, I have circled on the picture. You can see on the left circle, the little white bit has popped out of the socket (the little black plastic part to the side of it) The bottom circle is how it should be. To get this back in, I had to use a flat screwdriver again and gently pry from different angles until it popped back in its hole. If you wish, you can unscrew the 3 screws and remove the motor housing to make it easier. A problem has annoyed me for many months has now been sorted. Hope this helps someone out at some point.
