Colossuss
Cheers guys. I know the front numberplate (And the rear) are bloody terrible. But my parents have bought me a personal plate for Christmas, so not going to be replacing the existing plates! I'll check out the Calendar thing, thanks! No plans as of yet really. Front drivers wheel is suffering from the terrible bubbling I've read about, and missing a split rim bolt, which is annoying. So considering either returning the one in silver, or all four in anthracite or gunmetal. Got some more pictures on my pc, but they need photoshoping, a lot of them make the car look Velvit Blue when really its Estoril Blue!
mintimperial
Welcome dude, gorgeous colour. Interested to know what the insurance premium is on that sucker for a 21 year old.
Colossuss
Ah, well the policy on my Clio ends in Feb, so the increase from the beginning of this month was £390. Renewal is most likely going to be around £2200. I know a lot of guys say that's crazy money for insurance, but at my age it's just something you have to learn to live with
mattwatson
Learn to live with or just stick with a 1.4 clio lol
Chimp Choker
£2200 jeez. my 1st motor back in 1987 was a ford escort van insurance was £169 for the year. i reversed into a fiesta, and it went up to £171 i really feel for new drivers getting on the insurance ladder now
SamN
Welcome the clubby looks very nice. £2200?? I could get insured on that for less and i'm only 20! Who is that with? If it's not Admiral (or Bell/Elephant, same group), worth getting a quote from them as they've been by far the cheapest for me. They were about £500 less when I had my e46! I suppose it depends what excess you're willing to put and on other things as well though.
Gaz
Ah, well the policy on my Clio ends in Feb, so the increase from the beginning of this month was £390. Renewal is most likely going to be around £2200. I know a lot of guys say that's crazy money for insurance, but at my age it's just something you have to learn to live with £2200? Shop around! I got my Clubsport when I was 20 and only paid about 1200! That went down to 1000 when I was 21. If you don't have any points you can definitely get it cheaper than that. As Sam says, try Admiral. All us youngsters generally find them the cheapest by a long way.
Duracell Bunny
Agree with Sam and Gaz ive been with Elephant/Admiral and been far the cheapest im 25 (26 soon) not sure if that still classes me as young?
mintimperial
Yeah I have my E46 and E36 on Admiral, and its by far the cheapest quote after all the mods are declared too...
Jay.
I'm 23 and was paying just over a grand on a 330ci sport at 21 and the same on a 265bhp Z4 3.0 SI coupe at 22.
Colossuss
I'm just keep prepared for the worst regarding insurance to be honest! Come Feb I'll have 3 years driving and 2 years NCB (First year of driving was named under Direct Line), with Admiral now. I'll deffinitely be shopping around, any thoughts on what you guys think I should be able to get? One of my friends, who is a year older than me, is paying about that on a Seat Leon Cupra R, I feel quite sorry for him!
mit
Aah, 21... I've been driving that long... D'oh! Welcome
scrimja
You guys keep forgetting about postcodes! I've been driving 5 years, 3 years NCB, 22 years old and in my area, £2000 would be a good price for me on a 330. Whereas it would seem Gaz could insure a bloody Veyron for that amount. Lucky bastard.
