Mr Squibbs Posted November 23, 2012 Report Share Posted November 23, 2012 Hi Firstly apologies if this has been asked before - did run a search but didn't find anything I think I've read the 330i exhaust will fit the 318i providing a Y pipe is fitted, is this correct? Is there anything in particular I should be looking out for when searching for one? Mines a facelift coupe I appreciate I should have bought a 330i in the first place but with buying a house next year that wasn't really an option at this stage. Hoping the 330 exhaust will give a nice bit of noise? Also, will the twin pipes fit out of the cut out on the rear bumper ok? Wash Posted November 24, 2012 Report Share Posted November 24, 2012 Yeah, you can fit a 330 exhaust to the 318 with a Y pipe since the 330 has 2 pipes in it's exhaust and the 318 has 1 pipe. The sound however will remain pretty much the same. If you want your exhaust to be louder, you'll need an aftermarket exhaust instead. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you just want the look then just fit the tips, if you want the sound then cut out your back box or middle box and replace with a blank pipe and then fit double tips for the look, best of both worlds. Doesn't really make a huge difference so like I said, if you want more/different sound, you need to go for a aftermarket or custom exhaust instead.
