robocoupe
Had a recent issue with condensation in the 3rd brake light on my coupe, after a couple of pointers from Rob- and Quiksilver_TR (thanks guys) I decided to give it ago today, 10 min job. Firstly locate the plastic lugs that secure the panel to the roof lining, there is one at either end... Pop down the panel, does`nt need much force... You will then see the actual brake light in situ, there are two black thumb buttons at each end which need to slide out towards the rear side windows to release them from the bracket in the roof lining... Once you have released them both the light will be loose... Finally removed you can repair, replace or as I did cleaned the rear window to dry it out and removed a dead spider from the tray, refitting is just as easy. Only couple of tips I can add are, don`t do this with dirty hands, the roof lining marks easy, and don`t allow the light unit to hang from the wire on its own once removed. Dead quick job and hope it helps anyone who like me, did`nt know how to do it before. bobdisk, CoupEdin, mit and 1 other
