Rob_SRi
Spraying the front up... Wonderful masking job there :/ ..still did the trick though haha!! Got a load of different grade sandpapers and started at the 11 years of crap on the exhaust tips... started off with some 250 grit and ended up at 6500 and then finished with some metal polish and this is the results... Oh and most importantly new tax disc holder !! and the damn bug... !!!!!! going to have to take all the parcel shelf out etc to get to it! :@

Rob_SRi
Good job with the exhaust tips! Where did u get 6500 grit paper?? I've never found anything above 1200 in any shop halfords does 2500 which should suffice tbf.. I got the 6000* (my bad) from a friend who borrowed a roll from his work! just been and checked for you it says 'micromesh' on the back.. might help you track some down if you want! its awesome stuff tbh! edit: if any of you are planning to do this I only used the sandpaper where necessary.. the metal polish should get most of it bar the very tips which will probably appear black and will not budge without some assistance! if you google micromesh.. there is a load of hits on it.. seems to range upto 12000 ! Rob_SRi
I used Metal Polish and wire wool on mine and they still look tired I guess sandpaper is my next stop. that doesnt look too bad tbf I reckon sandpaper will do that!! i used a dremel on the black bits on mine & ruined them haha good effort!! tbf that probably would of been my weapon of choice had I not completely destroyed my dremel on the clios inlet manifold.. try sanding back through the grits and polishing with some AG metal polish you'll be surprised what it can bring up love that stuff! your sig isnt helping my need for lows !!!! Mike-
Like these LED rears, normally reps have that gay black line round where it joins the rear quarter which I loathe. Might have to invest. Jay.
Rob_SRi
Done the thermostat today Left the bug for now.. So difficult to get to and too cold to be messing about so il leave it till its better weather later this week hopefully ..! Cockin' a leg!! Followed the guide on 330ci.net drained all the coolant and stripped the old stat off.. Below is a comparison of BMW part and the new bit.. Quite obviously the same bit and quality.. Completely identical.. Both have wahler written on..same part numbers and codes stamped..there is even a blank area for the BMW badge...!! The only difference is the one from the stealers was 83 and the one I linked above was about 35 delivered!! I presume you pay the extra for the BMW badge to be stamped on..?! All done and after a test drive no leaks and......
