What Have You Done To Your Car Today? Volume 2

Recommended Posts

Fitted new trip reset pin (thanks to Gaszman) so have a working one after two years being without one. I can now use the hidden obc menu too.

which showed me on a mix of town, country lanes and 20 miles of dual carriageway national speed limit that the temp didn't get above 70 so having replaced the main stat last December its playing up again. Fed up of the issue so getting both stats replaced (oem) so I can hopefully forget about it once and for all. Still getting low 40's mpg though so will be interesting to see what improvement I get.

I politely asked my Vert if it knew its father!

I have had the usual o/s/f water leak from under the headlamp. Had a quick look then decided to order a new telescopic (£48 inc vat)for it. Nowt to lose as the Tourings got a bloody leak too! Any how got the light out & the tell tale signs said the telescopic was leaking so replaced it. All seemed well. Took an hour but 15 mins of that was trying not to break the trim under the headlamp as it was stuck pretty well. Lee Evans would have been proud of the tongue out faces i was pulling expecting that pricey snapping sound at any second!

Returned tonight & the Ba*t@rd is still leaking.....this time? from the jets Arrrggggghhh..

Back to stealers in the morning for jets!.........Then sort the other bugga out!

Maybe this should be in the RANT section!!!

Washed and waxed and took a few pics with the iPhone with the front plate off, loving the stance at the minute, spacers front and rear ordered for a bit more poke though

Looking good , would like to see the chrome on the hard top gone. Just my opinion

I did plan on this when i first picked up the hardtop but in person it actually looks great, i have played with it on photoshop and i prefer it as it is i think, complements the grilles and alloys.

Lloyd, I agree with you about the chrome, goes well with the alloys! However maybe worth investing in some Chrome A pillar trims to match? As it looks a bit of a mismatch at the moment

Yeah i've thought about that mate but i really don't like the look of the chrome A pillars, it sounds stupid because i like the chrome on the hardtop, i'll have a play and see what it looks like, then maybe get the black wrapped and then come summer just peel it off, not sure if its worth it for the 3-4 months its gonna be on though lol

I would normally disagree and say no to chrome, but it really works on this against the imola [emoji106]

I know what you mean mate, when i swapped the black kidney grills to chrome it was opposite to what i'd normally do but with the imola red i much prefer a chrome colour scheme than black, i think the black dulls it all a little IMO

I don't get the anti-chrome vibe, seems to be a theme on the forum :( I was thinking of adding more chrome to my car at one point ....
