8.5" Et20 Will It Fit?

Recommended Posts

yes, easily without arch roll

in fact I think it would look better with 12-15mm spacers once on (depending if you get an arch roll)

ET 20 x 8.5" will fit but no chance with a spacer.

OK wow I got that very wrong, I somehow misread the very aggressive offset to be et40

As above et20 will require slim tyres and likely an arch roll also

somethings not right there then, im on 17's 8j et10's with a 5mm spacer = et5 and mine dont stick out at all

Don't see how that can be so MV1 fronts are 8j ET47? So with a 20mm spacer that's ET27 and that's flush with the arch on my coupe.

Thats seroius strange.. No doubt they are 18x8" ET 20 and the tyres are 235/40.

my mistake, et20 standard not et10, so that makes my offset et15, but still its not flush with the arch, and i doubt my camber is causing that

So 12mm further out than my example maybe Ci's/sports have different bottom arms? I had 3mm machined off my 20mm spacers as they were very slightly proud of the arch. I'm running around 1.5-2.0 deg camber I wonder if your running more and if so how much difference that makes?

Fronts are the worst on mine I run 9.5 j 19" on the back at et29 the fronts are 8.5 et 40 odd and there close to the strut and catch the arch when steering and go over a bump

The rears on mine are flush with the top of the arch and poke out on the bottom

Its strange, ive been googling a lot and most ive read says it should be possible to fit them. Didnt see the fronts coming at all..

No chance with a 235 tyre!!

hmm there is something weird on bmw front hubs, i have to run a 3-5mm spacer to clear standard bmw wheels to coilovers, where as luke in his clubsport had to run 10-15iirc

i wondered the bottom arms but on the coupe there is only one part number for all the suspension components

As Christian said, I needed a 10mm-15mm spacer (I went for 15, so 18 8J ET35) otherwise the wheel fouled the shock. Although I think it was more down to the wheel rubbing the adjuster on the coilovers. Anyway, ET35 leavves me about 5mm out from being flush with the arch
