das_flo
When did 265's become too big, have a search through some old posts, back a few years ago everyone used that size on here? L4nky808 and RickyZ
RickyZ
265 is OEM CSL size also and while we all agree a non M3 wont match a CSL is there really any harm ?
das_flo
There's quite a few untruths in this thread. I've had 265/30 19, 255/30 19, and 235/35 19 all on 9.5j rims, on a 330ci sport, and never had any issues. L4nky808
sive s
I have had falkens and kumhos on the 19s for the past 2-3 years. Good tires and will buy them again. They do there job very well. I am running 215/35/19 and 235/35/19 on mine. Not like yours, but i have also had 255/30/19 kumhos, they were good and lasted for a good time. Hope it helps mate. -Ad-
I maybe shoulda gone with the kumhos again as a safe bet as I liked them on my 18s but I've got the kangs now so il get them fitted and see how it goes. They sit great considering no spacers I can't wait to get then on now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One thing i like about the kumhos and falkens is that, when you do a stretch on them its not that bad when you lower it. But when i had contis, it had a bigger sidewall, so it used to rub on the arches. What alloys did you get, Pics need to uploaded. lol Edited May 21, 2014 by sive s
Mario330HH
I really want to get some tyres on my new wheels this week and get rid of the mv2s to get some money back. My issue is I've just bought a house and spent so much money I can't afford to get what I'd really like which is Yokohama ad08 I'm looking at either 225/35/19 or 235/35/19 And on the rear 255/30/19 or 265/30/19 I can't really spend more than £400 so I've been looking all over at various sets of tyres and read mixed reviews and had mixed reviews from people. What are people's recommendations on this budget? I've just bought a set for mine. Where you from? I paid 425 for the set and I'm really happy with them. That was 425 fitted. Mario330HH
I used 225/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 on the rear then I lowered it with Eibach Sportline kit. No problems at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-Ad-
That reg is sick man! Love it! Yeah contis have quite a hard sidewall and stay pretty straight which can be a good thing but if your running a right fitment it's not great! I got VMRs My carbon centres came yesterday and I'm just waiting for the tyres now! das_flo
I had VMR / VB3's, have a look at the link in the sig. I used a 235/35 rear and 225/35 front, and as low as my coilovers could go - no issues, plenty of space (on a coupe). With 265/30 rear, 235/35 front, there was a very slight rub under load, on sportlines. With 255/30 rears - no issues. 255/30 rear / 225/35 front is the best combo IMO, if you're only lowering on springs. DEVIL 666
DEVIL 666
It's lowered already I was told the 265 was right for 9.5 oem mv2 are 9 on the rear and are 255? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk His rears are 9.5J Mike, you've posted a pic of a 10J X5 ? X5 rears are 10j???Really? I didnt know I just sent the picture because of the nankang tyre.Even on the 10j looks very well nice stretch.

-Ad-
Yeah that's what I was going to go for but ended up going for 245/30 rear but nothing a 5mm spacer won't sort out [emoji16] Yeah x5 are 10j rears I'm sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-Ad-
I've ran maxed out coilovers on my last 2 e46s but it's not really possible atm due to bottoming it out on the way to work all the time.. I'm happy with the sportlines now to be honest with these on it will still look good and if I'm honest it handles better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mit
19" tyres are expensive if you want good ones. I just bought 2 rear bridgestones and am now £600 poorer! F07GT Steve

das_flo
You're sort of snookered with an e93 aren't you Mit, without switching to non rft's. Aren't Bridgestone the cheapest you can get too? Edit they're about about £230 supplied ea on the usual sites, say £20 each for fitting and you could've saved yourself a 1er Edited May 26, 2014 by das_flo
F07GT Steve
I have Nankang NS2's in 19" on my vert, always use Nankang's. I have NS2's in a 20" on my 530d. Never had a problem with them.....
JimmyJames
I also have nankang's in 18" on my M3. They ride a lot better than the contis it came with to be honest. The contis were all over the place in the wet and the ns2's grip really well, even with dsc off and sport mode always on.

My weekend is worth more than that. These guys fitted the tyres in a lunchtime while I went away and ate something.
