dontpannic
They are plug and play. Comes with inbuilt GPS chip and external antenna, comes with the canbus steering wheel control box, comes with all your AV leads, comes with your aerial plug adaptor. Mine came with satnav software preinstalled and supplied an 8Gb SD card with maps, it was completely ready to go.

Very pleased with the unit, build quality, audio quality, speed, features, and looks. Not bad for sub £300. Thanks Panic! The turn knobs looks different to the picture to yours? Yours has a chrome trim where the one on ebay doesnt?
dontpannic
Yeah, the eBay auction has been updated. I would guess they now come with more OEM style knobs (I would have preferred that, but the chrome is quite nice).
Tewkes
I thought th chrome ones are the newer model?
dontpannic
I honestly think it depends on what they have in the factory at the time to be honest.
J15 CJY
Hello all.. any one heard of EONON?? I have this installed in my car. Resembles the bmw original one. Are they any good?
Chimp Choker
Eonon are a well known reseller, what model unit do you have Sent from my LG-H815
J15 CJY
I think it's a 5150z model.... Has the bmw logo from start up
Chimp Choker
The model you quoted is a wince based unit, not android. The unit is solid and reliable, however you are limited in terms of updates and customising Sent from my LG-H815
tqadam
Hi I really like the idea of the sat nav, hands free calling and auxiliary in on these. Are these type of head units easy to fit? I just have a business head unit with autochanger at the moment. If its allowed, could someone recommend which one would be best for sat nav and hands free calling as there seems to be loads on eBay and I'm not very gemmed up on ice. All help greatly appreciated
Chimp Choker
Aye simple to fit, you will need the hvac relocation kit for a 100% fit. Any quad core version on eBay will be fine as they are all made by huifei in the same factory. Post some links of the units you are looking at Sent from my LG-H815
J15 CJY
I agree about it not being android, but I wanted one that resembled and looked like the original bmw one. I had an android in before and didn't like the screen interface as it didn't look OEM. The android is great for hooking your iPhone to it, but I didn't want it looking like my phone. But it's personal preference... The model I got is great... No problems, easy to install... I bought a reversing camera with it and works a treat. The andiod I sold on flee bay was the pioneer SPH-DA120..... Only flaw was it has no CD player, but if your like many other peeps and have Spotify then it's not a problem

It is literally take it out of the box and plug it in. Relocation panels are available from BMW but for the cost at the moment I haven't bothered.
