LJColeman
Just picked up my E46 this afternoon, looks like It's only got a dsc button, not a row of buttons?? I'll post a pic tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
J15 CJY
Really only 38 notes??? If so then I'm heading down. At the moment I have the AC controls wedged in.... But on these units you don't need anything... But before you fit one... Buy yourself the reversing camera.. They go for 15 notes on eBay.. Saves you having to pull it all out again later since you have the set up already.
LJColeman
Thanks mate that's spot on. Anyone tell me what adapted I need for mine? As I don't have a row of buttons?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tewkes
What is the difference for anyway? Surely the row of buttons are interchangeable? The AC unit doesn't fit any differently does it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

dontpannic
Button bar is either individual buttons (18mm) or one single button bar (16mm). It's nothing to do with the AC, but the two different panels housing the buttons are slightly different sizes/shapes. 18mm individual buttons: 16mm button bar: More info here: Edited February 1, 2016 by dontpannic

Chimp Choker
I'd also invest in 90 degree usb adapters and a 90 degree GPS antenna adapter as space is tight at the back Sent from my LG-H815

Fitz2282
Morning all, Well went though link Chimp put up for quad core Android unit, also asked questions which he had also posted. Got my reply sounds reasonable MCU Version: IAP-15L2K61S2 No firmware updates. But software can be updated 12 month warranty and a full UK customer support service with a 10 day turn around if any issues occur They say that they cannot accept any offers on the units, which I put a cheeky offer in at £230 with free postage, which did get accepted normally 239.99 with free postage, result there hopefully will be loads better than my current Eonon headunit!!! ? Any advice Chimp on that MCU Version? Edited February 5, 2016 by Fitz2282 Spelling and grammar
The_Judge_
So - has this become the official Android Unit thread then? A couple of questions as I've just bought one ... Do I need an additional adapter or something to get the aerial signal to work? I've got the standard fakra adapter which was fine for supplying radio signal to my Kenwood single din, but nothings' getting picked up on this android unit - there is a spare blue thin wire labelled "ant" which was originally connected to a bunch of wires meant for an amplifier (which I don't have). So do I need to do anything to make this work? Setting the default music player - is this only achievable with hacking and installing a new ROM? I have Poweramp installed but my steering remote always selects the stock music player, which is naff. I've managed to get the "Navi" button to select my navigation app that I installed so that's ok Disabling the camera - is there a way to stop it trying to use the camera every time I put it into reverse, I don't have a camera (yet ....) Anyway, for info, I've got the following quad core unit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171819284381?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Lawyered07
As far as a know it can't be changed. the Android units have a capacitive screen and I think yours will have a resistive screen. not sure about the other hardware, whether yours will be quad core what ram etc Edited February 7, 2016 by Lawyered07 stupid autocorrect

Reverse camera - cut the pink cam cable on the harness. Default music player - root the unit, install xposed framework, install xposedmtc then you can set the default in there.
