There are 7 girls in a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack, there are 7 big cats. For every big cat, there are 7 little cats. The bus driver is not in the bus at this time. Question: How many legs are there in the bus? 7 little cats for every big cat = 54 little cats = 216 legs. 7 Big cats = 28 legs. 7 girls have 7 backpacks = 49 backpacks, so total legs in backpacks is 216+28 x 49 = 11956 legs. Plus 14 legs from the girls = 11970 legs in total. I am wondering how they managed to fit 8 cats into a backpack though, and each have 7 of them. That's a lot of girls and cats lol... I don't think it's a riddle. A riddle would be something like "2 fathers and 2 sons walk into a bar and order 3 pints. All of the leave the pub having had a pint. How is this so?" The answer is that it's a son, his dad and his grandad, so 2 dads and 2 sons... The last team building exercise I saw had a cup in the middle of a field and 4 people all holding string which tightens around the cup, all of whom were blindfolded. Someone else had to direct them to move so they could lower the strings around the cup and then pull them and lift the cup. All this taught me was that at this particular organisation it takes 4 people blindly following the instructions of a manager to accomplish the same task that one of them could do on their own if they took off the blindfold, walked directly to the cup and picked it up. BMA 330 Posted May 12, 2009 Report Share Posted May 12, 2009 you have 2 square rooms one above the other they are identical in shape 4 straight walls both have a ceiling and a floor both have a door no windows. and a stair case connecting the 2 in the bottom room there are 3 switches.. in the top room there is a light bulb. one of the switches will light up the bulb! but you can only go up stairs once! how do you work out which switch lights the bulb? no you cant c through the ceiling, no you cant stand at the door and look answer.... So what's the answer then? 9618 might also open the spreadsheet if they did their maths wrong? There are probably a few other answers depending on what other mistakes they might have made... Mattevans323ci Posted May 12, 2009 Report Share Posted May 12, 2009 Not sure about riddles, but a good ice breaker for the start is To have a toilet roll, then explain that this is the only toilet roll left in the building and each member of staff needs to take off as many sheets as they might need through out the day.. Usually the ladies reel a bit off, blokes not too much. Then the idea is for every sheet they have taken they have to tell the rest of the group an interesting fact about themselves...
