Blorezum
Hello everyone I know there are loads of threads about this topic but I cannot find anything relevant to my enquiry. I’ve found some style 32’s for my e46 with tyres and I was wondering if a 245 on a 9j rear will fit or if they’ll be rubbing? I’m running standard factory suspension and the MV 2’s. I hope you can help me out as I’ve no clue! kind regards Ed
kirkynut
Welcome along. I don't have the knowledge that you need but I suspect someone else will, albeit we are running thin on members and therefore members with knowledge. That said, those of us on the forum are a pleasant little group with core knowledge and it reminds me of when forums were new and everyone was pleasant and got on! I'm good for mechanical knowledge but not tyre fitment I'm afraid! Kirkynut Blorezum
momo
Depends on what model the originally came from. Style 32's off an E46 - standard MV1/2 tyres should go straight on.. Style 32's off the 7-series have much more aggressive offset so may need thinner tyres. Edited November 16, 2019 by momo Blorezum
Daz 330 Cs
If the rears are definitely 9” they’re off an E38. ( 7 series ) so are the more aggressive fitment on an E46. If on stock suspension a 245 will likely be too wide. Most run a 225/40 IIRC...... Blorezum
Blorezum
Cheers for the insight Daz! They are the e38 ones, as I prefer the deeper dish than the e46 style 32’s. That is a shame as I found a set with Bridgestone Potenza’s on for not too much cash. so from what your said, I’d be best of fm looking for some 225/40’s for the rear? cheers for all the replies everyone! momo
https://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=874029 Those arches look rolled and pulled a little too. Not sure even 225 would fit. May have to go 215/40/18. Unless you want to go down the camber arm route.

Yes the dish on the E38 rims is awesome. You can try the tyres you have and see how you go.
