paddy65
Hi. I am new to the forum, so I`m not sure how things work. I recently bought a 2003 E46 convertible 318. A couple of issues seem to have arisen since. I am not driving it yet but am starting every week for a while to keep it sane. When I start the car now, the internal fan(air con) is on and I cant control the speeds. The dampers can be selected to divert air to the windscreen, feet , etc but not the speed. When I turn off the car , the fan continues and will eventually run down the battery. I am now disconnecting after each start. Also, I have noticed that when I run the car for 15 mins or so, the water in the top up resevoir is very hot but the radiator is cold. Dosen`t seem to be flowing through the rad. I am going to get a new Final Stage Resistor(hedghog) and replace as this seems to be an issue with other cars, but does anyone know if this could have any bearing on the coolant system flow through the car. Does it talk to the ECU? Any feedback would be greatly welcome. Regards.
