Just to let you know Sam, I've tried registering for E90zone, but the Security code confirmation isn't showing for me so it wont let me progress.

Works fine here, try pressing CTRL + F5 on the registration page.

there's a few of us on here now changing to the e90 so thought I would bump this, it's very very quiet over there but would be nice if it picked up a few members :)

Is there any way of promoting the site as I've found myself over on e90post but imo it is more aimed towards American owners be nice if we could get e90zone a bit more publicised for us over here with a bit more banter like on here?

That's where it was ;-).

Logged in but think there's a problem with the site- tumble weed blowing across my screen lol.

Just seen you've gone for an E92 M3. Nice!

I signed in the other day but its a bit of a barren wasteland at the moment, nobody is on it... It's almost as if there's no real love for these cars!

After a bit of pushing from some kind members, I'm going to focus some more time on E90Zone, so figured I'd bump this to keep people aware.

I've already added a few links about the place to E90Zone from this site (nav bar along the top). Hopefully I'll make some members more aware of it.

Thanks Sam :)

One thing I've spotted on e90zone is there's no like button. I'm guessing you've got seperate instances of IPBoard running?

I'd love to drum up trade there, because the other E90 forums are nowhere near as good as e46zone (for all its faults, draconian rules etc we still love it here)!

Also any chance an e46zone subscription can apply to both sites? It would be annoying to have to choose one over the other :)

I've just read that with the new version of IPB (3.4 soon out) that single usernames across both domains is possible, but its limited to basics (username, email and password). So you'd have 1 username, but 2 profiles, 1 per site. Not idea, but its open source, so some clever clogs will come up with better integration.

In an ideal world, all off topic sections would be common between both site and when you went to e46zone you'd see all common section AND E46zone, same for E90Zone. User profiles would also be mirrored, so same signatures etc.

You'd be part of 2 communities and only need to register on one. As you jump ship from a E46 to a E90, you don't need to start as a newbie again. You would also be sharing the common areas, so could still keep upto date on all of the same members. Subscriptions would be across both sites as well.

I just got a little excited about this!

This sounds pretty good As all the e90 sites I've been on dont have the fun and banter that we have in here. :)

Sounds great Sam! That's close to what I was thinking of, though my thought was actually just to drop all the forums one level on this site, and create the same structure related to E90 stuff which kind of would have been the same (But with a shared banner across sites).

Just thinking of a way to sweep up users from here and incorporate them into other models. This would work nicely as people started talking about the F30 on forums etc as well

I did set this up and I think it was even live for a few days/weeks but I never changed the banner and pointed the domains to the same site. Problem is things like SEO. How do you display the forum? "E46 & E90 zone"? etc. And as Simon has said, what about E36s F30s etc. We then become "3SeriesZone", so may as well rebrand this whole site as that.
