chris
Found this and it work a treat!! Pull the seatbelt out to it's maximum length and use a slightly damp cloth to wipe off about 2-3 feet of the belt starting where it enters the door post. Use of a white cloth can show you how much dirt you are removing. Now, lightly spray both sides of the belt, again for that same 2-3 feet, with 303 Aerospace Protectant. I do cover the area around where the spray is used with some towels in order to keep from getting it all over everything, other than the belt. 303 won't harm anything, but you may have to go over those splattered areas and wipe on some more protectant to smooth out droplet spots. After applying the protectant to the belt, let the belt go into the retractor for that same 2-3 feet, then pull it out all the way again. Do this multiple times, as what you are doing is lubricating the retractor mechanism. You should feel things free up after a number of cycles. chris
I looked on ebay and found the 303 stuff, but being as impatient as i am, i used autogleam cleaner/lubricant. Works just as well Really does make a good difference. And its not me making the seatbelt dirty Just they have a tendency to go slow, particularly 2001-2002 models
simonlpearce
And also 2003 models, mine is a little slow but it still works which is all that bothers me!

Works just as well Really does make a good difference. And its not me making the seatbelt dirty Just they have a tendency to go slow, particularly 2001-2002 models no to mention 2000 models as my drivers side doesn't always go up unless I pull it all the way down and let it go and it painfully goes back in like it doesn't really want to! lol

Is it likely i will find this 303 product in places like halfords etc? or do i need to order some where online? Kind Regards

When i cleaned mine nothing really came off, but when i used the autoglym stuff it made it ten times better. Mine was getting to the stage of not retracting very well at all, and sometimes would just sit there! Now it fully retracts, and pretty fast. Not like new, but it aint new

chris
Umm not sure. Im sure that is better than the autoglym stuff, but time will see how the autoglym holds out
DJ Syxx
Just tried it out with the Autoglym vinyl and rubber, had some lying around gave a few good squirts let it go back in and repeat, wipe the whole belt and it has cured it! Put my seatbelt on and released it and it retracts back up just like my passenger side! What you said about lube has done the trick.
